Isn't he all about academics, too? Yeah, UCONN won't help that cause either.

They're coming off a NCAA tournament ban for low academics. There's clearly a different standard for athletes

Swofford likes when the athletes are putting up good grades. UCONN is not doing that.

and they don't seem to be looking to invest more in football or basketball. UCONN may be willing to spend more on their programs and will probably be able to raise more from their boosters with the move. Plus, isn't ESPN in Conn.?

Yeah, but remember you can get to anywhere in CT in less than an hour.
I spent two weeks in Groton, CT (next to Mystic) right before Sandy came thru and it only toke me 1.5 hours to get there from White Plains NY.
If the ACC takes UCONN, when Clemson plays there, you guys have got to go to New Haven for pizza. Many good places. (Modern and Bar where my favorite)

UCONN seems to have had a deal that when the ACC needed a team next, they would be it. I think this ###### was written just waiting for a need to kick it in. It was probably in place for if ND joined, UCONN would be 16 but not they will use it to replace MD.
