If my memory serves me correct, weren’t most or all of those low level non-contributing types (ex. Non-starter graduates) just for depth? Hard to get amped about that if they were.

No. It's amazing how people embrace a narrative and ignore facts.
Among several players we pursued and missed out on last year was the UVa center who started this year at Michigan.

The UVA guy was 2 years ago. We've offered some, though not sure how hard we've gone after them. Definitely need to make an effort this year with OL and WR. Maybe even pick up a LB due to Trotter going, Carter possibly going, and our onlyfans fiasco.

Yes, and we did get one of those, Paul Tyson, QB, for leadership in the QB room. So we've had a transfer portal player on the team all year.
