Shafer should be ranked much lower than 14th in the conference but sadly that is how many teams there are. the guy is clueless

Shes says ... "I would make a few tweaks to this list. Swinney has done a great job at Clemson, but I would move Cutcliffe ahead for a few reasons. Nobody ever expected the Blue Devils to compete for an ACC title, but that is exactly what happened last year."

I'm all for giving Cutcliffe and Duke props for a fantastic season, but there is no way to get around the fact that Duke was no better than the third best team in the ACC last year.

Yes, they played for the ACC title, but it was not indicative of their being among the two best teams in the league.
