Which is it for you?

A. I'm voting for Trump because I believe in the man, and I think he will be a great choice to lead our country at this time.

B. I'm voting for Biden because I believe in the man, and I think he will be a great choice to lead our
country at this time.

C. I'm voting for Trump, but only because he's better than Biden.

D. I'm voting for Biden, but only because he's better than Trump.

I'm voting for Biden, but not only because he's better than Trump. While I do not think Biden will be a "great choice," I am in favor of some of the bigger pieces of legislation he has signed, and in favor of some other legislation he has said he would sign.

His border legislation would have addressed some of the problems the Republicans are complaining about, but they didn't want to solve the problem before the election.

As for the legislation he did sign, that includes:
- Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
- CHIPS and Science Act
- Healthcare reform including prescription drug caps
- Gun safety bill
- American Rescue Plan

That's what, about $2.5 Trillion and let's not forget about the $100s of billions in aid given to Ukraine. If Biden and the democrats had left the $60 to $70 billion aid for Ukraine out of the Border Bill, there probably would be one.

Trump asked the congressional republicans not to do a border bill, because he didn't want to give Biden a "victory" on that issue.

They complied with Trump's request.

That alone is more than enough to show that Republicans aren't serious about the border, but want to use it as a political tool more than anything else, to keep their base afraid of "the other".

And ignoring the issue until an election year and then throwing some half baked legislation out there just to get a cheap and meaningless political victory isn't playing politics with the issue? Nothing says you aren't serious about the border more than, well, not being serious about the border and we've got three solid years of Biden not being serious about it. But now he's seen the light? Please.

Border crossings were very low during the Obama era. They spiked up during the Trump era. And they've really spiked more under Biden.

I happen to agree that the border is a big problem. But Trump didn't help, and the problem got worse under his watch. And now he wants to interfere and stop a bill that could've made big improvements on the situation.

Once again, this is an issue that the Right-wing uses to whip their base into a frenzy, instead of treating like an actual issue they want to solve. They don't want to "fix" anything.

Only slightly. During Obama last 4 years there were 1.6 million border apprehensions and expulsions. During Trumps 4 years there were 1.9 border apprehensions and expulsions. A minimal increase. Mainly due to the 2019 increase.

I’m 3 years of the Biden Administration, 9.8 million border apprehensions and expulsions. 8 million more than Trump had in 4 years.
Stop trying to compare Bidens border to Trumps or Obamas.

This is the worst Border in American history. Whose fault is it? If you are blaming the slight increase on Trump how can you not blame the massive increase on Biden?

Love his experience in government= are you talking about his 47 years of service in which he did 2 things. He added tax to SS and then raised said tax, and he fought against the integration of schools. Those TWO things he did in 47 years?

His understanding of the issues specific to his job = you mean when he defied SCOTUS TWICE and took money from the poor to pay for student loans of the the middle class. That part of being president that is responsible for person loans of a select few? Wonder what George Washington would think.

His measured approach to problems = you mean like writing blank checks without thought, scolding border patrol for whipping people (which didn't happen). EPA regulations that NO ONE will be able to meet. That measured approach?

His willingness to compromise = like when he said there will be ZERO concessions made on the green new deal and shoved it down America's throat? That compromise? The most expensive bill in American history.

His ability to surround himself with capable and ethical people and make good decisions based upon his knowledge, ethics and experience and their input, things that Trump is so ignorant of = You mean like when he got a prosecutor fired in Ukraine for investigating his son to keep the Biden family money rolling in? Those ethics?

Surrounding himself with luggage stealing he/she/its cause they are the best for the job. Appointing a gender confused tranny to lead the HHS? Those people?

You also know he gropes and showered with kids right? and raped a woman?

JFC christ our country is going to ###.

D for the most part.

I do agree with Biden on several issues. It's his communication, leadership, and implementation that I take issue with. I agree, for instance, that America needed to begin a transition to green techs but the way Biden did it was ham-handed and clumsy and was clearly done by somebody who didn't understand basic math. Wind and solar are great...where the wind blows, and where the sun shines. He's done nothing to shore up the fundamental hole in the grid where some form of nuclear needs to be.

I'll largely give him high marks for his foreign affairs, though our withdrawal from Afghanistan was a complete debacle. Joe's done a good job resurrecting NATO and getting it to stand together in support of Ukraine, though my feeling is this four-months-plus-and-counting pause in aid that happened thanks to the unbelievable clown show that is the GOP House is going to prove fatal for Ukraine. When he wasn't hamstrung by the GOP, though, Joe was doing a great job controlling Putin. He's also done a pretty good job wrangling allies into the so-called "Quad" in the Pacific to stand against China.

I think his handling of the economy is a push. Joe hasn't rocked too many boats in the business world though his doubling down on handouts during COVID put us in a deep hole we're only now climbing out of, and it for durn sure contributed to runaway inflation. I think his timing was fortuitous. Industry is flooding back into the US after long decades of globalizing as Western companies seek shorter, more secure supply lines, so Joe does seem likely to continue to ride a hot job market that adds a ton of new high-paying manufacturing jobs...but again, IMHO that's a function of COVID and the deterioration of China a lot more than any specific policy, though he has doubled and tripled down on Trump's policy of blocking trade with China. Gravity was dragging the reshoring trend back our way anyway.

He surprised me a bunch with that State of the Union address, but we hadn't seen that guy before and I worry we may not see him enough again. Joe's ability to lead and communicate is terrible and IMHO it has a lot less to do with lack of capability than it does with complacency and just plain being out of touch. Say what you want about Donald, he gets his points across. Everywhere.

I was really hoping for a viable alternative to either candidate. Alas, here we are...and I'll reluctantly vote for Biden again. Which is supremely annoying because he was always supposed to be a placeholder one-term president. I'd be surprised if he made it through his second term.

D. Trump is far more of a free speech / defender of the First Amendment than Biden.

First Amendment (freedom of speech) isn’t first just for laughs and giggles. The Constitution just doesn’t work without a sacrosanct First Amendment.

RFK Jr scares me a little with his not-distant-past impulse to trash the First Amendment. He said that Climate Change deniers engaged in dangerous talk that should imprison them. More recently, he has backed away from that. I trust RFK Jr more than the OBiden Handlers Admin with respect to First Amendment, but I doubt him as being as good as Trump in this area.

As for the economy, foreign policy, and border security, Trump has a proven record that is far better than Biden. RFK Jr is an unknown in these areas.

I’ll take proven positive track record + defender of First Amendment all day every day.
