do we take the ##### seed over and host the super regional

top seed in a regional is no guarantee of hosting a super regional.

if a national seed loses, it comes down to bid between the 2 super regional teams.

If we win and put in a big larger than the winner of the UVA regional, we would have a shot at hosting.

I am a little confused. Based on what I have read in this thread, please consider the following hypothetical scenario - Clemson wins the Columbia regional as and UVA wins their regional. Despite being the higher seeded team (somewhere between 9 and 16 nationally), UVA would still not host their supers? Not entirely sure that the NCAA would award the super regionals based on bids from the competing schools unless the number one seeds in each regional lose - then it becomes a financial decision. I may be wrong. Hopefully someone can correct me.

I think both seeds must loose in order to reseed. SO if we win and UVA wins, we play at UVA....

Nope. The NCAA only seeds 1-8

UVA is not seeded 9 because of its matchup with the USC regional. If a national seed wins the regional they automatically get the super. If they don't its a bidding war.

And there is no reseeding! Its set all the way through the CWS finals.
