QB peripheral vision and pocket sense...

Nov 3, 2023, 4:59 PM

It seems to me that there is a huge drop off in peripheral vision and pocket sense from great ones like DW4 and TL16 to Cade. The FSU game we were driving for 2 TD lead and moving quite easily, and we give a fumble scope and score. Changed the game. Yes, Mafah missed a block, but the safety (i believe) came a long way to get to QB, and he should have sensed him or seen something? I know it is chaos at the line in high level football, the QB is asked to do super human things. We have had super human QBs, may be we just don't now. With Watson and Lawrence we could win because of them, they could overcome mistakes of others. Cade doesn't seem to have 'it', alas.

Still, we can beat ND, no fumbles, and play solid. Go Tigers. Will Shipley play?

its the Oline play

He only has time for one quick read, if he goes beyond that he gets smashed, he has no time. Re watch the NCST game, worst P5 we’ve played, they are on him in .5 seconds, literally. He doesn’t have a chance to look at all his reads.
