In about an hour (8am Pacific Time), Our Golfing Gals will begin their quest to secure a Top 4 Finish in the Pullman Regional . . . The Pairings, Tee Times and Opponents’ Rankings are in the attachments .
We are a young Team . . . Starting 1 Senior, 1 Junior, 2 Sophomores and a Freshman . . . this is the same Lineup that WON the ACC Tournament recently . . .

A quick Goggle Search for, “ How many teams advance in NCAA women's golf regionals?”, says:
Championship selections
West regional: 12 teams, 6 individuals. All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three (central), five (south), four (west) and six (east) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.3 days ago”

advancing then there should be less teams in those regionals getting fewer bids and the top teams need to be distributed proportionally according to # of bids. That doesn't appear to be the case when you look at the rankings beside the teams. What the hell is the NCAA doing?

I'm about 99% sure they changed the format starting this year to match the mens college format. 6 regional and the top 5 advance. Just like mcg.

Can you believe what Sacramento did on 17... if the scores hold up, that's truly catching lightning in a bottle. But 17 is playing easy. It's really like a par 4. Unreal.

Birdie on 17 - that is incredible, I don't care how easy a hole is playing and obviously we didn't come close to that. Need those gals to fall apart though- Not good to have an unranked team building up a huge lead and stealing one of the 5 spots.

They probably will but with such a huge jump... might be tough. Has to be a team that absolutely bombs it off the tee. I'm with you, don't matter how easy.
The one I'm concerned about is Texas tech. Rankings indicate they should drop but, it happens in every regional. Good thing is we have
one senior playing. Grewal and pancake have got to get going. Last I checked, they were +2 between them and we needed them to be -4 between them. Was hoping Chloe could hold up...

We hit a rough patch . . . which is typical in Team Events . . . but have rebounded well . . . Kudos to Melena and Chloe for staying below Par to this point . . . and to Annabelle and Savannah for fighting back . . .
Plenty of golf still to play today!!!

Glad it's 3 days because we're stinky right now.
As much as I want them to be, we're just not a consistent team. We did good in our own tournament and caught lightning in a bottle for the acc's. But honestly we're an average team in most of the tournaments that feature elite teams.
Here's to hoping one or two of our ladies get red hot and pull the team with them, like a Texas tech is doing. If we can get a couple go really low, we'll have a chance to eek out a top 4 or 5 and advance.

as no one was chiming in at the time . . . I suffered alone!!!
Melena carried us and I’m sooooo grateful!!! Today is not what we had hoped for . . . but we are in great shape to advance. We are only 2 shots behind the “Cut” . . . with plenty of time to make a move. They have finally finished after the weather delay.
And you are correct Clemgalalways® we must have MORE out of Savannah and Annabelle!!! We got more than enough from Melena today, while Chloe held her own.
I AM LOOKING for a GREAT TIGER DAY tomorrow!!!!!!!

Yeah, we're in striking distance. Not sure why we've struggled all year on par 3s... but we have. I know that was Penleys pet peeve was par 3 scoring.
We're tied for 9th in par 5 scoring. And besides green Bay, we had the least amount of birdies on the par 5's than any team out there. The only reason we're tied for 9th is because the other teams had a non counter make 8's or 9's on a few 5s. And we're 1 of only 3 teams that didn't record an eagle.
I would love to get a press conference on what happened. Whether it was driving, too aggressive, not aggressive enough etc etc. Just curious more than anything. Oh well, maybe tomorrow is our day to score.
