Get all that done in make it to the wedding on time..There were appearances by Shorty and wife AND Tote1 and wife (lol marriage). A grand time was had by all. I'll let RH tell you the rest.
Sunday, vacation started. Y'all be generous with the thumbs up today as likely will no be back on to do mine.

Exhausting

I was plant on-call this weekend.
Friday I came in at 5:30AM and stayed until 9:30AM due to losing the power section on the auxiliary 60 ton hoist on an overhead crane. I went home for 2 hours, and got called back in for a stripped out geared coupling on a line-shaft on the opposite side of the plant. Finally left 10:30AM on Saturday morning. I think I was there for 28 out of 30 hours. That really set the pace for my weekend.
Came home saturday around mid day and slept all day and night. Woke up sunday morning and took DaughterAdidas to church (see other post). Then I came home and helped the wife clean up around the house because she is hosting her coworkers today for a pool party. Did some pressure washing, grass cutting, tilling, and planting some grass seed.
Still tired AF.

in an old saloon, with a peso in my hand Watchin' flies and children on the street And I catch a glimpse of black-eyed girls who giggle when I smile There's a little boy who wants to shine my feet
And it's three days ride from Bakersfield and I don't know why I came I guess I came to keep from payin' dues So instead I've got a bottle and a girl who's just fourteen And a #### good case of the Mexicali Blues Yeh
Is there anything a man don't stand to lose When the devil wants to take it all away? Cherish well your thoughts, and keep a tight grip on your booze 'Cause thinkin' and drinkin' are all I have today

Saturday I drove to the beach. Went out at around 11:00

with 16 relatively high gravity beers with the intention of having 5 or 6. Came home with a 4 pack left, drank the whole Wicked Weed IPA Mixed 12er. I was hammered. Got into the house, wife and friend got groceries cause I couldn't see straight.
Woke up Sunday and went for a run, hit the beach by 10:30 and stayed until 5:30 other than the hour I was at the house making salsa for dinner. Ate chicken tacos that were great. Had less beers, a fruity drink or two, mostly Miller Lites though which is like drinking water. Got some sleep.
Up this morning for a run and now I am at "work" at the kitchen table while kids destroy the kitchen.

Took it easy this weekend. Spent a little time at Navarre Beach Saturday morning and then had some fried Snapper at local restaurant - Scooter's (really good). Home in the afternoon and just chilled right there.
Sunday, another workday as usual.
All in all. relaxing weekend.

thru boiling springs and thinking it was cu85tiger® 's hood and I almost flew by New Groove brewery. Slammed on my brakes and made it in. Cool place, good beer, the smoked wings and pretzel was awesome. Need to go back and try more food and drink for sure. The Pho place next store was calling my name but was already full.
They talked up Red Bordner and his distillery so I checked it out. The dude Red has done everything, engineering degree from Clemson, flew in Vietnam, racing, bbq, and moonshine. Tasted some of his liquors and had to buy some. Got a quick tour and found out that he is making the goodshit and everyone else is making crap and I believe him. Great visit.
Hit up Plankowner brewery by the interstate, was good but was still dreaming of New Groove. Had a wildhair and drove into sparkle city and went to RJ Rockers. Surprised by the range of beers and a cool building. The I bleed Orange beer was drinkable.
Walked over to Fr8yrd and had their inhouse made bratwurst. Amazingly delicious with some perfect kraut.
On the way home stopped by Golden Grove brewery and had a tasty beer. Like the vibe of that place and the Panic theme.

on my way home Saturday from locking up after a contractor at the office. I've been low key craving their brisket sandwich.
I need to try the Pho place myself. Glad to hear Plankowner has getting better.

Winding down here, got all but one patient out of the hospital. Packing up, date night Saturday, went to a new vineyard in Keswick that was designed and built I’m fairly certain specifically for Instagram influencers. Wine was meh. Then dinner in cville. Mostly spent the whole weekend hanging out w the kids, enjoying a little down time before the move and between jobs.

Probably the single greatest weekend of my entire life.

Thursday night, dinner at Kid Cashew in Charlotte with Joonyer, his fiancé and her mom, and Jooner's new brother ands sister in law...who are an absolute hoot. Very cool people and it was great hanging out with them all weekend. Food was great, company was great, and we had a blast. Joonyer's new bro-in-law is a bourbon aficionado so he and I had to test the resolve of the bartenders at the restaurant, of course.
Friday, got up and took care of everything that needed done to leave the house for the weekend because Mrs. left around 7 for Greenville to get the room ready for rehearsal dinner. Last chore before taking pup to board and heading down the road was to snag tickets for the Charlotte American Aquarium show in December that went on sale at 10 as an extra little wedding gift for the kids. Finally, off to Weddingville and I-85 was a brutal death trap drive. What should have taken under 2 hours stretched to 3, but finally made it to the hotel. Got cleaned up and we got to Aurora Farms for the 5:00 rehearsal. Ran through the ceremony then off to Cityrange Steakhouse for the rehearsal dinner. Food was great, and had an amazing time meeting all the new extended family. I couldn't be any happier with the family Joonyer married into, they're all great folks. Back to the hotel and hung out for a bit before crashing at a decent hour.
Saturday morning, around 4:45, Mrs. got out of bed BECAUSE SHE LOST HER MOTHRAFREAKING MIND. Fist, she starts unloading the dishwasher in the suite and putting everything up, rattling around making noise until I finally got up just before 7, at which point she says "let's get dressed and go help the guys get ready at their Airbnb". She had nothing to do and she was antsy, on edge and driving me fuckingnuts. After a couple of cups of coffee I got her to walk down a couple of blocks to the city farmers market. On the way, I had to restrain her from choasing down a guy riding his toddler around in a golf cart "because it wasn't safe". It was at that point I thought about looking for a drug dealer in Greenville to get something that would bring her down a few notches, but a stroll around the farmers market seemed to do the trick. Once she was stabilized, headed back and got cleaned up and dressed.
Met the wedding party at the girls' Airbnb, boarded the bus and left the Mrs. in the care of her childhood best friend from Indiana, and proceeded (as Best Man) to the venue to get all the pictures out of the way. Bottles of bourbon were passed around on the bus ride and at the venue while we all waited our turns for various pics. Finally time for the big show, it was a perfect ceremony that fit the couple perfectly and truly one of the proudest moments of my life. The reception got into full swing and it was amazing to be surrounded by so many fantastic people. Great to spend time with aerozeptallica and SharkGirl, TOTE1 and his Mrs. (whose wedding I performed back in April), Shorty and his lovely Mrs., blaquedanny and Mrs., and orangecadillac and his Mrs. among many other of my closest friends. The party was in full swing when the Clemson Tiger appeared and then the soiree went into overdrive. It was everything you want for your kid's wedding to be and went off without a hitch. After the couple left, a lot of folks that were staying at the hotel downtown hung out in the lobby drinking until finally I couldn't hang any longer and went off to bed a happy new father-in-law.
Sunday, breakfast, many long goodbyes, helped get cars loaded, helped get both Airbnbs cleaned up and people transported, then a quick and easy drive back down I-85 to RH. Relaxed for a bit, then took a carload of stuff to Joonyer's house, a stop at the grocery, and then into the Big Chair to become immobile the rest of the night. Overall, a huge success.
1,000,000/19 Covids. I'm still tired today, might be the weekend before I get my full superhuman capabilities back...but it's a good kind of tired.

The laughs started early in the ceremony and kept going all night long. Joonyer got a good woman and Mrs. Joonyer got a good man.
We had an absolute blast dancing and consuming alcohol and hanging with friends. I feel honored to have been invited.
Now I’m at the beach for a week so y’all have fun ya bunch of freaks!

Food from Smoke On The Water, banana pudding and cupcakes from Ben Hall, and an appearance by the Clemson Tiger. The only thing that disappointed me was they didn't take my suggestion for orange leisure suits for the groomsmen.

It was real beachin'

Well, it was the end of long weekend vacation in Kiawah. Was nice. Went to a bar/restaurant in some pre-fab town center place. King Street Grill or something like that. Place was PACKED. Hour long wait. Got seated then the waitress rattled off a list of what they didn't have. Anyway, we made do fine. After that we decided to go to the Hairy Peter for groceries. Bought eggs and bacon, bread, pizzas, hamburger meat, and stuff for tacos. Quickly figured out an hour long wait for a shortened menu for $125 Applebee's type food, restaurants were kinda a bad idea.
Friday we went to the water park with the slides, then Saturday we beached it. Wind was so bad on the beach after a few hours of being sand-blasted and undertow we retreated to the serenity of the water park. Learned our family can devour a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs at a single breakfast. Kida had a blast. Thursday saw a slight rain-out in the afternoon but weather was great rest of the time.
Much bourbon was consumed. Meals reminded me of Vegas though. $100 seems standard, even burgers and fries by the pool (with drinks). Place was packed. Traffic jams at Kiawah is something I've never seen. We also collected several sand dollars, which will no doubt make an appearance on the Christmas tree this year. Yankees next to us on the beach seemed horrified of the slaughter of innocent sand dollars. I explained how they end up on our Christmas tree. They probably think I'm Satan for slaughtering a poor tree for a Christian holiday too. I dunno, but they looked at me like I just robbed a bank.

APM started summering hard on 6/25/2021. That's when he left for the beach. After a week there (was exhausted after the first day in the sun) he worked 3.5 days then took a long weekend up in PA at the in-laws' with extended family and much activity (amusement park, pool), then weekend before last APM hosted his office pool party. All fun but all exhausting and it did not help that for much of that time APM was fighting the summer cold we all passed around after being around people again (fun!).
Anyhoo, this weekend APM slept his asssse off. Two days of glorious sleeping in and even a nap yestidee. No pool. Got a much-needed haircut. Caught up on some home and work stuff. Bought some furniture for the office (they had what I want IN STOCK! - which is a big change from about 6 weeks ago.
Looking forward to a normal week at work. We will host my sister and her family next week, but this week should be as close to normal as it gets.

Like the rest of you effers, I went to the beach.

and a sandbar. I actually went to two beaches, but only stepped foot on one beach. But not before spending FOUR HOURS looking at a boat for some friends of mine said they wanted to look at. They've been asking to me for weeks about different boats, so I went over to their house Sat AM (after staying up all night watching a live stream of some guy play guitar in Key West), and it took almost another 2 hours to get to Folly Beach to look at the boat.
Holyhell does Folly beach have traffic. Folks start lining up on Folly road about 4 miles before the Folly Bridge. If anyone complains about IOP traffic, we got nuthin' on the south side.
We looked at the boat; it was a clean 2017 center console owned by a nice guy who owned it and liked to talk a lot, so about AN HOUR AND A HALF later, friends gave him a deposit and we left. Then as soon as they get in the car to leave they start talking about how they are going to pay for it. I'm like...wait--You've been talking about 100 different boats for 6 weeks, and JUST NOW you are figuring out you have to pay for it?? My friends wife was worrying about how much they had to put down on it, and wondered if they could finance it for TWENTY YEARS, and I'm like "I dunno, I'd throw $10K at a minimum down payment and go from there". Jebus, you would have thought I told them to pay for it with Bitcoin. I guess they thought they were going to 100% finance a boat that is 4 years old? The whole thing made me feel like Obed® when he gives car advice in here.
Finally got back to IOP just in time for a logic-free full moon argument with my wife, and time to put the boat in to get to the sandbar for an hour or so before tide change. Had a few beers, pulled the boat out, and swapped out my boats 6/600 JL amp that has sucked since day 1 for an Ebay special 6/600 that sounds 100% better. Anybody need an $700 paperweight? Spent a few hours messing with that, then walked the dog to Dinge-ee to get something to eat.
Sunday got up and boat piddled, took a walk to the beach and decided I hate people, painted our mailbox post, had a few beers, braved the coyotes and walked the dog to the beach at night, then watched TV for a bit.
I give it 4/5 boat amplifiers for the weekend, as it was beautiful but a bit windy.

I was in high school and worked on some houses my dads boss owned. Back then Folly rd was two lanes.
I had no idea of the traffic situation over there. I had actually started looking in that direction for a house, but yeah..after seeing that, I ain't moving over there.

best part was Friday - bounced out of work early to play golf. came home and cooked a steak
rest of the weekend was kinda ######. wife's getting ornery AF.
did some errands saturday
went to play golf sunday morning - heat index was 102 @ 9 AM. sucked bawlz. spent the rest of Sunday prepping food.
highlight was cooking some meals we can put in the freezer. got about 12 dinners in all prepped, with a handful of lunches and breakfast stuff: - chicken thighs, mushroom risotto, asparagus (3) - chicken and broccoli alfredo bake (3) - costco lasagnas (4) - venison stroganoff (1) - sausage torellini soup concoction my wife makes (1) - got about 8 of the costco chicken tortilla bowl thingies in the freezer for lunch too - wife made 4 batches of sausage balls and stuck em the freezer as well.
gone make a couple platters of beef enchiladas, then smoke 2 butts. with the butts I'll make some freezer sandwiches and at least two batches of brunswick stew, maybe even 3 or 4.
need to make some venison sausage and egg burritos and we'll be golden

Nice man.
On the topic of freezing 'cue, I'm going to put in another plug here for the sousvide cooker to reheat smoked meats. If you spring for a vacuum sealer it punches things into overdrive. There simply is no other way that comes close to retaining the flavor, texture, and moisture of pulled pork or brisket than reheating with a sousivde.

is there an FBCoach way to do this? Maybe by heating a pot on the stove w/ a probe in there to make sure temp is right?
I need a vacuum sealer. Shoulda bought one when I shot my deer last fall and didn't.

It was nothing to talk about.
I sat quietly most of the weekend.
The most exciting thing to happen was after eating half a ton of Sam's Club Hunter Mix snacks then having a dinner of pinto beans, peas and fried taters about 3 am I noticed a sleep fart. I was surprised to have been nearly awake when it happened.
I tried it and it turned out to be damp so I got up and went to the bathroom to assess the damage. My panties were still dry but I was quite moist in the crack. As I sat there I remember dreaming about someone asking me to hide a box under my belt line. The box was very hard and pressed against me with certain corners which dug in a bit.
I was still cramping when I wiped and knew I wouldn't go back to bed for a while. Over the next two hours I had experienced more earthquakes which led to a couple more trips to the outhouse.
Finally, about 7 am I farted and it was over but that fart was epic and something I'll remember. It also sprayed enough to get the drawers wet. No, I haven't taken a shower yet. I'm going to do that after lunch and take a makeup nap.
Thanks for asking and thanks for reading.

Fri - condensate drain on HVAC unit clogged up. Put vacuum on line outside and unclogged it enough that it is no longer overflowing and getting under (and ruining) hardwood floors.
Sat - play golf with brothers in the am. Four birdies yet still shoot 83 ???????. Spent good part of the rest of the day replumbing parts of the line (i.e. driving back and forth to Home Depot). Cut out ptrap and discover it is 99.999% filled up with, gunk, mildew, goop etc, hence the source of the issue. Hook up garden hose and flush line out from inside to out, replace trap, now possess the best draining HVAC unit in all of Aiken County, as if that is something to brag about. Pick up daughter number one, go to wild wing, old friend Brent Lundy was playing guitar so was a nice surprise. Those in Lex/Cola may know of him. Home and spend some time with the girls.
Sun - played early golf and played like S-H-I-T. One birdie but another guy birdies same hole and cancelled out my skin. No other highlights, it was just ugly all around. Ran car through car wash, a few other errands. Finally get to pool with the girls and relax. Late spaghetti for supper.
Hoping once the hardwoods dry all the way out, edges will lay down and I won’t have to replace a section.
TL,DR - golf, HVAC problems, beer, pool.
