Priester situation pretty simple

It comes down to playing time.
Based on the UGA game Kitt and Scott appear to be ahead of him. Not to mention McCloud and Cain who come in next year.
Its a very difficult situation for these guys coming in who are used to being the stars in high school and may not even play when they get to college. I believe Prieater saw the writing on the wall and was frustrated with the situation.

I doubt Priester wasn't going to get PT

Coaches thought he would've played a good bit last year, based on them saying he was more ready to play than Williams. Swinney also said he expected Priester to play a good bit this year.
That said, Priester was just one of the guys providing depth at WR, and he didn't have any catches at UGa. I don't think this loss will hurt us too much, but it's unfortunate that he couldn't get his attitude right after waiting a whole extra year to come to Clemson.

Why Would Kyrin Worry About Next Year's Incoming Players --
Sep 3, 2014, 9:23 PM

When this year's players are the ones he was in current competition with. Plus this year has just started... so playing time could have been sooner than he thought.
Something is so off about this.... maybe.

Nothing's off, he just had a bad attitude

I don't know why people want to read any further into this than that. You don't need to make stuff up about how he "saw the writing on the wall" about PT, and we don't need to come up with some sort of conspiracy theory about how the coaches drove him away by being set on playing inferior upper- classmen. What Coach Swinney said is enough, as we all know he doesn't put up with a lot of nonsense.

Don't believe for a second that these guys don't know who is coming in behind them. I'm pretty sure Chad Kelly took notice when Watson signed.

What if he did something off the field that is not football related and got into some sort of trouble? People need to chill out.

Because it simply said ATTITUDE PROBLEMS, which basically goes with what the OP said. I'm sure a lot had to do with PT and throwing a temper tantrum over it. If it was off the field issues, it would have said off the field issues.

Latest depth chart had him #3 behind Peake and Hopper. Sure he would play some against SC St but I doubt he would play much against the better teams on our schedule besides special teams.

I've been thinking about this Priester situation and the

rapidity (as far as we know) of Coach Swinney's actions.
I've decided that it was one of two things--both of which Swinney has a short fuse for:
1) Classroom or Vickery-related issues
2) Popping off to one of the coaches--especially in front of the team, the media, etc.
One would think that the recent dismissal of Chad Kelley would've been a caution to ANYONE against yelling at a coach, but, people can sometimes let their emotions get the better....Priester has already had scholastic issues as his year away demonstrated. Perhaps he had the mistaken notion he was going to be able to slide through Clemson with a unc class schedule.

nah, I think it was attitude and non respect.
Coach sounds like my Mom who told me after I closed my bedroom door and whispered (that woman had some ears for hearing on her) the B word.
She slowly opened the door, looked me straight in the eyes and said "you can hate me all you want, but By God you will respect me". Then she slowly closed the door and walked off. Man oh man,,,that was a lesson well learned....espcially to keep your thoughts to yourself..lol

I wouldn't have had the guts to mutter a name, even behind closed doors!
That's because she wielded a mean skillet, and we kids grew up in double jeopardy: first, we'd get it from her, then from our Dad...and they never, ever disagreed on mutually-enforced punishment.
Tough, ole birds, they were! lol

Yep.....back in the day, you'd get paddled by the teacher, go home and get spanked by mama and then daddy would come home and give you the belt. Now, kids get put in time out.

Yep and every kid had a bb gun or more and you never heard about them carrying those guns to school and shooting the place up. Weird how people put the blame on the fire arms when you can trace it back to poor parenting.

attend prep school. He then enroolled in January. He is from GA and probably was really disappointed he couldn't play against UGA. It must be more than just simply his attitude for him to have been dismissed.
