It would be nice to see ANY good news coming from the portal. At this point it's hurting us WAY MORE than it's helping us. If you look at the Portal tracker, 2 of the top 20 guys are players we are losing, and a few more in the top 50 and top 100. We are losing at least three 4 star players and three 3 star players. Take these recruits away from our previous recruiting classes and where would that have left our recruiting classes ranked? 20th? 30th? Not high enough to compete "consistently." Everyone except Hunter Helms was either a solid contributor or had a very bright future. I hope we make a splash and get some decent transfers from the portal. We need some commits that will actually come in and contribute. Call me crazy, but I'm starting to panic.

He's not a bad player, but that's not a significant loss. Losing Mukuba sucks for sure, but not irreplaceable.

So far, Mukuba is the only one that's impactful. But I think you'll see an OL or 2 added from the portal pretty soon.

Our biggest need is DE. Would love to land a solid DE portal player.
