if Miami had just beaten GT on Day 1 like it should have, Clemson would have played GT yesterday having already clinched the title game.
As it stands, Clemson is shut out even though tied for the best record in the bracket.
THAT'S how stupid this format is - so much depends on things you have no control over......and that is not what sports is all about.

This next game with MD-UNC, NC is trying to get in the tourney, like us. So they have incentive to win.
As for Maryland - if I was their coach, I'd be starting the backup DH on the mound. Absolutely no reason to try or even play starters today.
