Most years I give out reeses but this year it is skittles and candy corn. Too many kids in our neighborhood for the really good stuff

Stopped counting after 85. Maybe close to 100. Lots of high schoolers too, but as someone else said I prefer that to a lot of other things.

None. The kids around here don't want to make the 1/2 mile round trip walk from the2 road to the house and back. It could have something to do with all the no trespassing signs too. If any do venture to the front door, they'll get paydays and hershey's.

old enough to drive cars started coming around trying to get free candy. And, a couple carloads thought they would be slick and try to hit us up twice in the same night.
That's today's world in a nutshell. Whatever it is that is going on, some enterprising deadbeat is going to try and take advantage of the situation, unfortunately.

We moved into a nice but small neighborhood 2 years ago. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood so the first year we bought a bunch of candy for Halloween. We had zero trick or treaters. Same last year. I guess they all go to the bigger neighborhoods. Much has changed since we were kids.

We usually give out the small bars and stuff but this year we got full size Hershey, Reese’s, Milky Way and Snickers for the bigger kids. I can’t believe how appreciative they have been for the “good stuff”. Warms your heart.

Full size Hersheys, Hersheys with Almonds, Kit Kats, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I don’t overly decorate the house but splurge on the candy. I love Halloween and seeing the kids dressed up.

Hahaha! Augusta. Turn the porch light off at 9:00.I had a car load of high schoolers show up. They got candy too. I would rather they trick or treat for candy instead of getting in trouble doing other things.

Almost all of them said they would be back later in the evening to show their appreciation. Some asked if we had Ring or some other motion activated camera installed. I thought they were so nice in thinking about my safety.

I had six trick or treaters. You heard of a cat o' nine tails? My neighbors cat came as a cat o' one tail. I gave him an A as I wanted to see him but a D for effort as he wears that every day. My next trick or treaters were my girlfriend's dogs. The lab Rebel didn't wear a costume but Cosmo the Chihuahua was dressed as a baby shark. He also likes to bite people so it fit him perfectly.
I gave out large handfuls of candy as I prepped for several but only got 3 humans. Plenty of kitty and doggie treats were also given out.
