Coaches leave and that allows the player to transfer without sitting out a year. Otherwise the player should sit out a year, or be a grad student.

Also, create a regulation stipulating all NIL deals must be publicly shared.

Agree with your first point. As for NIL, how can the NCCA (or anyone) mandate the specifics of a transaction between a college player and business be made public?

Transactions between players and sponsors are not going to be made public nor should they be. Folks on this Board would not want their private transactions made public.

Wow, where do we start. Athletes should be like all other students and be able to transfer. An NIL deal is an employment agreement between an athlete and an employer and it is nobody's business what that deal is.

Take it or go play in Canada or in a Semi Pro League in Tulsa somewhere.

I agree but they’re not going to because of our progressive, individualistic culture that tells youth “do what’s best for you” and nothing else. That being said, the portal and NIL are here to stay and we need to adapt and use it. It wasn’t the SOLE reason why we went 8-4, but I feel pretty sure we would’ve been better off with a handful of key transfers
