I (and many others) don’t want to see politics on the bored for Clemson fans to talk about Clemson sports and get away from politics.

I could care less I just skip over what I’m not interested in. Lots of threads to choose from and apparently many posters have not yet figured out there are multiple boards. Defaulting to the football board is great but do not think a lot of folks realize it is indeed the football board. Admin may be able to adjust, but I would just skip content that does not interest you until it is changed.

Perhaps I’m foolish in this opinion (it has been pointed out to me recently that I can be a pompous prick) but I don’t want recruits and their families seeing that trash. Maybe they aren’t reading our boards, but I would if I had a kid thinking about Clemson and didn’t really know about it. When I look to buy a new car I often look for owner’s websites and seek to find out how real owners feel about the purchase; seems like a recruit would want to know more about the fan base he/she is gonna have to live with for 4 years. All of the political posts without exception devolve into utter garbage with name calling and outright lying; that needs to stay off of the main page.

Yep I sure do hope that’s not the criteria they will be relying on to make that kind of decision. Been to look at other boards and we may not be a lot better but we are definitely not any worse.

Sorry man but the truth is the truth! Think you were on my ### the first couple of weeks I was on this board and your post seem to always come across as vindictive. Have a gift in reading people and on occasion I can be wrong and hopefully I am in regards to yourself but it’s definitely the way I see it.

I don’t recall having a problem with you, but if it was when you first joined that was like 8.5 years ago so there’s no chance I’d recall. I disagree with the term vindictive because implies an unfair response to a user. There are several posters who do nothing but put down our coaches and players or try to bully other posters; I don’t like them and treat them with the respect that they deserve. There’s a reason bowlhunter (who now calls himself CUownthisstate) got banned. Many many folks here would rather be right than see Clemson prosper; and would rather insert their politics into conversation than talk about sports. This place has become an absolute dumpster fire. I don’t care if someone wants to ask what’s for dinner, or talk about their favorite music on the football board; these are community discussions that bring people together. Every time someone brings up politics it draws in the many folks from the politics board who are just here to yell at someone. Hale if I were running the show I would eliminate the politics board and ban anyone who talks about it on the other boards. There are literally thousands of other place to have those discussion if you are so inclined; this aint the place for it.

readers to focus on what they want. Politics is, inherently, divisive. This board is designed for Clemson fans to talk about Clemson sports (even subdivided by sport if one is paying attention). There is certainly a social component to it and it will never be pure, but obvious political hot button topics will, as you say, devolve quickly. Best to keep them off the sports boards such that everyone has a better experience.

TheRump should not be mentioned on the main board. He is a loser, a liar, a crook, and a rapist.
He was also a very chaotic president. He would like to make himself President for Life (i.e., a dictator) as he has stated many, many times in his speeches.
And he knows he lost the 2020 election, as he knew he would. Aren't we all tired of THE BIG LIE?
I think praise for TheRump works against recruiting.

A lot of people don't know that their post goes to Football by default. I get just as annoyed about the baseball, basketball, and softball stuff on the football board. I just don't look at what I don't want to read.
I do think some recruits are interested in politics. The problem is not political discussion. The problem is small minded people who default to nastiness and name calling.

I think it might be time for the Ampitheater to be moved out of TigerBoards and into General. I think that most of the political posts are being made on the Ampitheater, but the issue is that they still show up with the Clemson sports posts because the Ampitheater is a part of TigerBoards. I do think it's a shame, because I do like seeing the food and music posts mixed in with the Clemson sports stuff since it's nice to get information about those things, and they're often relevant to the community. The Ampitheater provides a good section for those types of posts to go in so they don't have to go on the football board. So we either need to get people to stop posting about politics in the Ampitheater, or we need to move the Ampitheater to General. Or maybe we could have mods relocate political posts to the Politics board. I actually think it would be good if they added a feature to relocate posts if someone posts about a topic in the wrong section, because I notice that happening a lot and it makes things harder to find. Sometimes I even accidentally post in the wrong forum myself. But I'm pretty new here, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
