A year ago Clemson beat OSU....

Jan 13, 2015, 10:53 AM

this year OSU wins the NC....I've got to believe we're close to making the playoff.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Or Boomer Sooner wins it all next year.....

Jan 13, 2015, 10:57 AM

;)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

On top of that we beat

Jan 13, 2015, 10:58 AM

The defending national champions in 2011, we beat LSU in 2012 who were in the national championship in 2011, we beat GA in 2013 last year who was one play away from making it into the national championship game in 2012, and we should of beat FSU in 2014, which were the defending national champions. Yeah i say we are close to doing big things

Util: I would like to amend your post title: Y year ago Clemson pushed OSU all over the field and beat them up physically. Look at the game stats and absent a couple of bone head plays on our part, we blow them out big time.
I'm just sorry that we couldn't play them this year because I do believe we'd beat them just as bad.
Their QB is a fine talent but let's see how he is when faced with continuing pressure and a legitimate pass rush. Oregon is a "trick" team and nothing more. Once their first line D was gassed they were done. Their LB play is beyond bad. Sure Mariotta is a terrific player but he didn't have to face any defense this year that was close to what the Tigers had. GOO TIGERS in 2015

Our D would play better than Oregon's but our offense

Jan 13, 2015, 11:05 AM

even with Watson, would do nothing against Ohio State's D.

Play on a neutral field with DW, we, imo, lose 31-17 or similar.

joseph: did you see DW live and in person or just on TV? That OSU defense would get shredded by him you forgot that Oregon lost virtually all of their wide outs for a variety of reasons. With our stable of thoroughbreds at WR, it would be a easy victory and we'll see lots of those in 2015. _Please do your best my friend to stay out of that hot Florida sun. It can do strange things to one's brain.

LOL. Actually the game I went to had CS at QB.***

Name one elite running back that we faced in 2014 other than Gurley that shredded our defense. There isn't one, and Gurley shredded us because our coaches refused to take Stoudt out of the game even though he was going 3 and out almost every possession and Watson was coming in and marching our team down the field. The defense was gassed.

We could handle Jones and Elliott.

DW, wouldn't score that much.

Easy victory? Come on now are those glasses orange tinted or spray painted. OSU turned the ball over 4 times and still won by 22. I have no doubt a fully healthy Clemson team would've been in the fight, but we wouldn't roll over them by any means.

Ohio State 3 touchdowns better than last year, probably more***

I think our D would have held them in check this year...

Jan 13, 2015, 11:05 AM

we would have had a much tougher time scoring this year but I would have liked our chances against OSU this year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree...

Jan 13, 2015, 11:26 AM

our defense would've done their job and with Watson it would be a real game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I know we didn't deserve to be there this year, but

Jan 13, 2015, 11:07 AM

I honestly believe if you put us in FSUs place with a healthy DW4, we would have won it hands down.

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Only if we had Ohio State's OL and Ezekiel Elliot.***

He doesn't need OSUs o line or Ezekiel Elliot

Hyde+ 3 of their OLs from last year are starters in the NFL.

Jan 13, 2015, 11:48 AM [ in reply to Only if we had Ohio State's OL and Ezekiel Elliot.*** ]

Grady and Co. would have blown that OL up...

Do you think Hyde is better than Elliott? Just because guys went pro doesn't mean folks behind them didn't improve and get even better than who they were replacing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Elliot was better than Hyde but Clemson D was the BEST.***

Which offensive juggernaut like OSU, did they shutdown?

Oklahoma is the only reasonable answer, but I don't know if Id call them an offensive juggernaut.

Wisconsin was #2. How'd they fair?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Please stop with those pesky facts.

Jan 13, 2015, 11:58 AM [ in reply to Hyde+ 3 of their OLs from last year are starters in the NFL. ]

OSU is better on offense and defense...and we weren't...even if our best QB was healthy...forget the fact we had the best defense in the United States...OSU was 3 TDs better... Because that one guy says so. Screw the facts.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah we beat the NC.

ere?

Obviously not.

Do you have any idea how good the herbs are in Oregon?

As compared to Texas where they're likely imported from Mexico & brown & dry?

Uh huh; think about it, man.

If I was from Oregon & had access to those great herbs up there & got sent to Texas, I couldn't WAIT to get back home.

Nahmean?
