Hoping we find a way to give OU their second loss of the year. Don't know if it's possible for them to lose twice.
If you didn't watch them against Cal in game 6 of the regional, find time to catch it on YouTube.
Cal's pitcher struck out the first Sooner she faced--then the next 6 batters reached base, with 4 of them leaving the yard. Since Cal was the home team, they trailed 6-0 before coming to bat.
OU only scored 1 in the 2nd, and in the 3rd they almost went down in order...but video review showed their SS Grace Lyons' toe barely beating out her ground ball and the call was reversed...opening the door to 7 more runs all happening with 2 outs.
Their #2 hitter had 3 extra-base hits before Cal rolled over their lineup.
They are smart, strong, fast, athletic and fired up, and they are taking it as a challenge to face Valerie Cagle.
For the Tigers, playing against probably the best "amateur" team (can we still use that word?) ever can't help but make you better. Hoping against common sense this weekend.
