Player Transportation to Bowl Game

Does anybody know anything about how the players get to the bowl game? I'm asking because a family member works with the grandmother of a player and she said they have to find their own transportation to the game and some of the players are having trouble finding a way to get there. It sounded strange to me because I just assumed they traveled like any regular season game. Does anybody have any info?

I think they at least get the option to drive themselves

Since they can receive a reimbursement for the mileage at the federal rate IIRC. That way they can get a little extra pocket money once gas is paid for. Not sure if they have to drive themselves though.

I believe they can get travel but it is from Clemson to the bowl site. Many players will go home for winter break and have the choice of coming back to Clemson or going directly to the bowl location. So yes if they choose to go directly to location they have to find their own way, but they do get money for travel expenses.

This is incorrect. The players are in Clemson over the break, practicing. Team travel is covered.

they are given $ for travel. They each receive $ so if you carpool with 3 other players then they can make some $ off of this ... at least that is how it has been in the past.
