Pitt/'cuse or A&M/Mizzou?

Basketball wise iit's pretty close because A&M/Mizzou have been basketball schools for the last few years or better than in football anyway. Still, Syracuse/Pitt are both top ten basketball programs, so they get the edge.

Football wise, A&M/Mizzou with a slight edge but A&M' s greatest attribute at the present is a rabid fan base and big stadium not success on the field. Pitt/Syracuse have as much potential as Mizzou.

Academics, this not a factor for many on this site but no way A&M/Mizzou are picked by the SEC if the weren't great academically to shore up the SEC in this area. Still slight edge to Pitt/'cuse

Overall, two great additions for the ACC and SEC.

but really not much to choose from. Hoops edge to ACC, football edge to SEC based on recent play. Historically the ACC pair may have the football edge. Both have won national championships...the aggies won one back in the 30s....

As a grad and a true lover of Clemson, I just do not see the need to constantly compare Clemson to anyone or any thing.

Pitt/Cuse - much better overall basketball programs.
A&M/Mizzou - much better overall football programs.

As of right now, yes, the sec got the better 2 football schools. Historically though, this is not even close. Pittsburgh has more football tradition than any of these. Actually they have more football tradition than any team currently in the acc. 9 national titles speaks for itself. More than any team on the east coast. Syracuse, historically, hasn't been bad either. Yes, both of these teams are having a down slide right now, but, both of these teams have proven they know how to win some football games also. Not to mention 2 basketball national contenders. I, personally, would much rather have these two.
