Pitt Football

Watching some of the Pitt game last night got me thinking about their attendance. They could fill a decent size on campus stadium. Why in the world did they tear down old Pitt Stadium? I guess the land is now scarce and the land Pitt Stadium was on now has their basketball arena. Pitt Stadium could have been fixed up nice with track removal and box seats above the regular stands. The basketball team could have shared an arena with the Penguins instead of football with the Steelers. That would have made a lot more sense. Same goes for Miami as they should have an on campus stadium. Also Pitt would look better in the old school yellowish Dan Marino jerseys.
