Pitching Staff

My biggest concern this weekend is our pitching staff against the bats of the coots. Barlow has been shaky at best in his two starts, Tristan Smith has looked good, and the freshman Knaak played great last weekend after a rough first outing. Will be interesting to see how short of a leash Barlow has Friday and who comes in in relief. I hope to see a few innings from Austin Gordon, maybe Sunday in relief. Darden has looked good in there and the Wofford Transfer has pitched well in relief. Will be something to follow, Go Tigers lets win a series.

I hope Barlow is moved off of Fri all together, its seems Knaak could end up being the #1 guy at some point and then just have to see how it plays out from there. Smith, Darden, Barlow and Gordon when his limited role on weekdays is over will all have a shot. But we def need to get some solidarity in the pitching staff, it looks more like Coach B is experimenting right now to find out who the Top 3 are.

What’s the deal with Smiths twin brother? I know he redshirted last season.

Did he actually redshirt at Clemson last year?

100% agree. There's a lot of pitchers we haven't seen. Obviously they see it in practice. I've been disappointed in Clayton. I was hoping he'd be a starter this year. I definitely want to see someone other than Allen. Sorry, just not seeing much from him.

Haven't seen dvorsky, Bailey, garris and others. But I haven't kept up with who's hurt etc. Just sounded like from coach in the fall and pre-season that pitching was going to be a real strength.

Either way, excited to see the season unfold. Lots of potential pieces but when you see the lineup, you realize just how many we lost last year.

Still don't know why we play 2 games in Cootville. 3rd game needs to move to Myrtle Beach.

There isn’t a neutral field for teams. Think one schools in the upstate tucked in a corner the other is in the middle. The arm pit…so what gives. Just move it to either 3 game series all at one schools and rotate. Or four games and split two at either school.

It rotates. Our "neutral" site is Fluor Field in Greenville. The "neutral" game will be there next year.

neutral site. There will be a new stadium in Spartanburg soon.

Also, why not have one in North Augusta for the neutral site?
