That fake slide was bs. Just watched it after seeing so much talk about it and that’s just wrong.

I get that’s probably the first time someone’s done it so they let it go but that’s just wrong. Need to rule them down wherever they initiate that move.

The move was slick…however… I completely agree with you.

Defense is already at disadvantage because they cannot tackle anybody, especially a QB… now you let QB fake a slide and defense stops so they don’t get a flag, and QB keeps running and scores TD. Complete BS, and I like Pickett but that was wrong

He should have been marked "down" at the spot where leaned

back and drug his foot in his fake slide. There is no room for this kind of BS if QB's are going to get a free pass when they slide. The rule book dictates that the ball is spotted where a QB enters a slide. Pickett's fake was the same as entering a slide and the ball should have been called dead at that spot and is what those sorry ACC refs should have done last night.

Agree, but it’s the same garbage some QBs do when they are on the sideline and fake going out of bounds and steal a few more yards if the defender pulls up early. Officials never seem to do anything about that either.
