and $225 is way over the top. For comparison, Alabama student tickets are $70/season = $10/game

I think student tickets should be "like" 5.00 or something to cover cost of distributing. We need our rowdy students involved and supporting our Tigers. They grow up to be us old supporters

When I went to Clemson the fee was mandatory for all FT students and supposedly included the cost of tickets for all home games for all sports as well as access to Fike.

Sliverback here.
In the late 1970's students had an activity card. Admission to all sporting events was included with the card fee whether you used the tickets or not. If you were a full time student, you had to purchase the activity card. The card was to used for admission to Fike, soccer games, basketball, baseball, etc.
I realize times change, but DRAD and Company appear to be $$$ hungry, and are trying to satisfy that hunger at student's and their was family's expense.

As a student, this sounds crazy to me. There is part of me that thinks this may be a little exaggerated, but if true is very disappointing and in my opinion a very bad idea by DRad.

This is very shortsighted. I'd venture that most of the current season ticket holders got hooked on Clemson Football as students (duh). That small investment in allowing the student in without additional cost creates the atmosphere that death valley is known for, creates the passionate fan base at the heart of the Clemson family, and frankly gets everybody hooked on Clemson football so that later as alumni, you buy many year's worth of season tickets! If you don't go to the games as a student, you are less likely to as an alum.
