perspective....

Oct 20, 2013, 1:06 PM

as i left the stadium last night, i began reflecting on the disappointment that i, and we all, felt. It sucks. It hurts. Its embarrassing. BUT, i will say this... life goes on. The sun came up this morning. All of you who live and die, go into depression, overreact, and/or let it effect your daily life, i must say to you, that this is JUST football. You can not let this game, and for that fact 18-22 year old kids, dictate your daily life.

I cant help but think about perspective.

I cant help but think about the young girl that flashed up on the screen last week during the BC game holding a sign praising God for healing her from cancer.

I cant help but think of the thousands of US military members who are fighting for us in foreign nations as we speak.

I cant help but think about my 1 year old son who i got to come home to and laugh and play with this morning.

I cant help but think of my grandmother who has spent the last 13 weeks laying in a hospital bed, completely ravaged with cancer.

I cant help but think that, even after a painful loss, God is still God and He is still good!

I say all that to say this... (and trust me, i'm 26 years old and it took me a long time to let this work in my own life)... life goes on. football is football. clemson is still clemson. we should all understand and put this 'game' that we love into perspective.

With that said, we can recover. We can still make a lot of noise out of this season.

Thanks I needed this . It is good when a 26 year old can make a 70 year old feel better.

That is a good one that we should all follow.

I have been thinking of Tajh and how he must be feeling. He always puts so much pressure on himself. He carries the weight of the whole team because that is the kind of person he is. Playing 2 quarters with a sprained ankle had to hurt bad and his hand is also still healing.
