They can't hit a rise ball pitcher. uva subbed one in after the 2nd inning, then put in their ace (rise ball pitcher) Cagle didn't pitch well and the SS is a huge liability.
So far, we are not WCWS caliber. I think Clemgalalways® has mentioned this before.

Gonna be a mighty busy time on the recruiting trail for Coach Rittman and his staff after this season....Need hitters in the middle of the lineup as well as the bottom real bad

that her season this year seems mediocre. And, to be honest, knowing her ceiling, it has been. Not having Knowler in there is a big blow. Brown hasn’t hit like she did last year for UNC and Garcia’s power numbers are not what we saw at Auburn. Vieira has never been a basher, but she’s struggling. Oda was never going to tip the scales. Clark and Moore are the only two having career years. If you’re a team of seniors and juniors, you need more than 2 hitters to make the next step.

Rittman has failed at developing these players. He’s sat back on his ### and relied on Cagle to carry the team.

They definitely need to work on their hitting. I thought they have a coach that helps them in their batting such as a batters coach. Also I noticed they are making more fielding errors.

If you chart it, we've regressed in hitting. Essentially the juniors, seniors, and super seniors are hitting at or below what they did in their first year.
Yeah, we're missing Knowler, but she was lights out against weak competition but you take away the mizzou st, mercer games etc, she struck out a lot.
