Our quality Depth at each Position Ranked - Per HRT!

Some preseason-type message board stuff for the football heads!

1. Defensive Tackle - well-documented depth. Easy one here!
2. Quarterback - Two 5-star prospects and Hunter Helms who is said to look like a 5-star QB so far.
3. Safety - Even with Venable RS; we won't feel it. The depth and quality is superior here.
4. Cornerback - I like our CB and their backups! And, the young talent behind them TBH.
5. Offensive Line - All 4-star starters or above. All backups I believe are 4-star. The young guys got meaningful snaps last year and learned under fire(especially Miller who I believe will dominate this year).
6. Running Back - Shipley & Mafah(great). Quad-zilla and Keith Adams are going to be underrated beasts.
7. Linebacker - Love our starters: Carter, Trotter & Woodaz. Concerned about the backups experience.
8. Tight End - B'Stool is going to be a matchup nightmare. Sage is coming on strong. Love OPH & Dixon.
9. Wide Receivers - A. Williams has that (beast in him) - who else though? Maybe Turner! Maybe Collins and Randall if they can stay healthy. We are going to need this group to catch the layups and keep the chains moving. Lots of unrealized potential here - this could be at the top of the list by season's end; I must add!
10. Defensive End - XT and Mascol and then a lot of inexperience! This group will have to learn quickly and find a way. Quarterbacks in today's football can't just sit back there all day. We need them. Coach Hall is going to have his work cut out for sure. But, I think he has some good raw talent to work with. Just inexperienced.
11. PK - last because for the last few years, all we knew, for the most part, was Big Toe Potter(B.T. Potter). Doing it when the game counts and having that calm in the moment is something we are going to have to wait and see about and hope we got a calm under pressure PK.

**Again, just some preseason anxious football message board opinion. I would love for the football heads of tnet to share their order; if different than my own.
Thanks!

Great summary. I'm very, very concerned at LB depth. That's a very physical position and we need McCloud, Crayton, and Anderson getting reps early.

Me too! Especially because they call the defense and make sure we are aligned. As talented as Trenton Simpson was for us as a true freshman; he struggled at times(understandable). I think they will go into a deep Safety room to fill in at spots at LB.

You have to find a spot for Mickens if Mukuba and Phillips are your starters. Mickens makes plays when he's in the game, period. LB would be a good spot for him.

I hope you are right. I think Mickens could play the outside linebacker spot and give Woodaz some reps inside.

I feel like he can. At the next level; this is the type of thing that will help him make a roster. For us, it will give us some experience behind the starters who has a habit of making plays!
It's just a blessing for us that the safety room is so deep.

Agree on Mickens. Let's hope we scheme to play him, not play him because we have to!
