Back in the 80's, Ford used to recruit good DEs. We have stopped doing that and it shows. Our offense isn't going to win every game, nor play well in every game. The defense needs to step up and win a game every now and then. That's impossible with a non-existent pass rush. Most teams, even with a backup QB will pick a secondary apart with no pass rush. It is abysmal to watch our defense on 3rd and 15 give up first down after first down, because the QB has all day. We have to get a defensive front that can rush the QB on a consistent basis. Or, we will always have trouble against the good teams. Bottom line.

recruit them. We've been dumping them into the NFL and the cycle caught us this year. We knew it was a young and not quite as talented group this year. scu might have the best DL in the nation. There are guys coming in.

Yup Daquan, Adams, Sapp, Branch, Brown were all good DE's we had two coming in but hey they said they were committed and then kept taking offers.. so dabo said screw it.. dont play with these kids.. they need to be men and commit or not..
