Our 2014 Recruiting Class

Isn't ranked nearly as high as the previous two years. Can we close on some studs to move up. Heard on Bill King this morning that we are at 17th. If we want to be elite we need top ten classes! And more offensive linemen!

I think we are pretty well full first of all. secondly the ranking is somewhat a function of numbers we can offer which is smaller this year. I think there would be one or two we'd take if they broke to us late but most likely the die is cast

The problem is numbers this year not quality. We are still about 15 by most rankings and only two classes ahead of us have less than 20 recruits. We may land a couple more down the stretch but we just don't have the room in this years class.

We do not have a large amount, and also not making as big of a splash as last year as far as the recruiting websites are concerned. TCI has a good update on targets remaining on the board, we are still in the mix for a few highly rated recruits.

Clemson knew going in that this would be a small class as we do not have that many schollies open. Small class = lower rating. However,if you by Rivals Clemson's average star rating is quite high.

I know this is a smaller class, but I know we have 3 more scholies to give now that Sammy, Tay, and Breeland are gone. Hopefully they are used wisely and if we can't get the guys we really want, we can hold them for a larger class next year
