“ACC to meet Friday morning. Will not hold vote until approval assured.”

So, they are just going to keep meeting until someone caves?

The differential in income for any ACC school vs SEC or Big?? entity over the time interval until 2036 is
staggering. Swofford and the accord with ESPN originally and re-ratified is alarming to me. The guy that set it up is retired and on "easy street". Same goes for some of the original signing CEOs for ACC schools. 2036 is a real long time off and the shortfall of TV income to ACC schools vs the aforementioned groups will very badly affect the Ath. Depts. of the ACC schools. $10 Million once or annually is NOT GOING TO COVER THE DIFFERENCE.
Bringing in Cal and Stanford will not be an equalizer and the cost to the schools for athletic travel will worsen the differential. It is simple math to persons that care about a equal/similar TV income packages for ACC schools. Let ND join in total and maybe the ESPN income to ACC schools will make a handsome jump. ND is never going to give up the NBC contract for themselves; NBC may but that is not likely.

And holding out. I thought they would come around but was surprised when I saw UNC come out against it tonight.

Still imagine they’ll get the votes. We just have to be offered the amount we want.
