They lifted him up right there like he was Jesus, like they were gonna put him on the cross…. Huh? That’s one of the strangest analogies I have heard from an announcer.

a LSU radio announcer.

Seems the guy got overly-excited over a long run by a LSU player, and he shouted over air, "Look at that muthaf****r run!" Story went that he was promptly fired the next day! LOL (As best as I recall, that tale was spread during my days at CU in the 60's.)
