over into college. The jersey-wearing overweight face-painting yankee, it's a YUUGE demo, literally and figuratively. Folks up North for the most part care nothing for college football - yeah, you have your slivers of fans like Ohio State & Michigan but for the most part, nothing. Huge cities like Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, etc can't draw 20K to a Saturday football game. They're too busy prepping for Da Bears or Steelers or Iggles to care.
Their hope is that this McAfee guy appeals to his own kind and gets some interest from the meathead crowd.

Regarding the Fox broadcast instead of Gameday, Urban Meyer is very good on it. I don't like the guy much as a coach, but he's incredible IMO on the show.

I find that I learn a lot about that person. He's been a wrecking ball to ESPN and GameDay, but he's got some niche of America that loves him. I guess ESPN has gone all-in on the self-centered, attention-seeking, pseudo-tough guy audience. GameDay has become all about him. He overpowers Herbstreit and Desmond Howard, something I thought I would never see. He sits in the middle for a reason; ESPN thinks he's the main guy now. And they apparently laid off a bunch of actual good personalities, something ESPN denies but the timing is too coincidental.
They can't go through an ESPN segment without this guy finding a way to draw attention back to him. I'm about ready to switch the audio over to the Fox pregame show instead.
For ESPN's sake, I hope they know what they're doing because Pat McAfee is the worst move I can remember them making.
