Okay. Who is voting for Trump in the primary?

I believe Tardawg confirmed a suspicion I had about the folks here who were obedient Trump sycophants for four years, defending his each and every action while pretending to "not like his character" (yeah, they actually like that, too). I don't think they're moving on to another Pub candidate, especially as DeSantis keeps floundering.
But I'd love to see em prove me wrong. So who are y'all voting for in the primary and why? If not Trump, why are you taking this other guy or gal and do you think that person has a chance?
Or are you ready to come clean and say it really was going to be Trump all along?

Just like it did last time. His campaign rallies were

overflowing with his die-hard supporters, which gave the illusion that he was unbeatable. That blinded him and his followers to the fact that there were even more who hated his guts and were going to vote for anybody running against him.

If I vote in the Pub primary it would most likely be for Scott but not fully decided yet. I still have some research to do. If a miracle occured, and a Democrat who was not crazy or brain dead emerged, I might vote in the Dem primary.

I'd crawl a mile over broken glass to vote for Trump. He will be the candidate and, from what I've heard, I believe he will ask Ramaswamy to be his Veep.

Well put. As I stated in the past, I've always used my vote as a protest vote against the entrenched party apparatchiks...
This time around, that may very well be a vote for T-Rump, regardless of his moral deficiencies...

Yet he still fills the rallies every time, anywhere

I mean…Jim Jones was able to convince an unbelievable number of people (any number over 0 in that case meets the definition of ‘unbelievable’ IMO) to go to Guyana and then also kill themselves…doesn’t mean he/it was worth it.
I hope someday you might be able to look back on your temporary (hopefully) psychosis and be someone your friends and family can admire and not be horrified by.

I only read your first sentence. Dang right I’m voting for Trump. This crap must end. My mind could be changed. Know how? Indict Stacey Abrams!! If questioning an election is a crime then indict her! She claimed election fraud many many times and tried to stir the pot. Now, does she deserve to go to jail for running her stupid mouth!! No!! Neither does Trump! Democrats are going f to cheat next year and they are making dang sure no one says a word. Indict 18 people?? Are you friggin kidding me? Silence those republicans you communists.

Nobody is being indicted for questioning an election, not that they should have questioned it. They're being indicted because they tried to fix the election. When you call the Georgia Secretary of State and ask them to "find 11,780 votes" for you, that's obviously attempted fraud.

Anyone can question election results. That's not the crime. Al Gore thought that the Supreme Court wrongly handed the election to George W. Bush. Trump thinks everything that doesn't go his way is "rigged." Stacey Abrams thinks whatever she thinks.
Politicians can speak their mind if they're just offering their opinions.
The different with Trump is that he didn't just "run his mouth." He and his clown car of mutants schemed to keep him in office by using fake electors, cajoling state governments to lie for him, and other scams. And he almost succeeded.

Definite No on Trump. Haven't decided yet. Want to see the August 23rd debate and hear more from all of them.
Any of them would be several steps up from Biden. I'm still not sure Biden will be the nominee when it's all said and done. I'm surprised a serious challenger like Newsom hasn't openly challenged Joe. However, I certainly don't want what Gavin's selling.

Trump. All day long. This has -0- to do with his social persona or private life miscellany. It’s all about effective, honest governance.
Attempts at social shaming me don’t work. This tactic works on many others, though, so might as well keep it up.
J6 contrived insurrection has driven me to support Trump more than I would have otherwise gone. How ironic. The Democrats and establishment Republicans will commit crimes (weaponizing the bureaucracy, suborning perjury, creating false evidence, refusing access to exculpatory evidence) so that the ‘criminal’ Trump can be convicted. Yet the TDS sheep have been brainwashed to believe that this how America should be.
FYI, investigative reporter Steve Baker has had access to the ~ 41,000 hours of Capitol Police security footage from J6.
To protect himself and the footage that is damning for Capitol police, DoJ, and FBI, he recorded each section of salient footage (time stamp and clip identification info) and shared that time / ID info with another person, just in case something happens.
Furthermore, evidence presented in the Stewart Rhodes (Oath Keeper leader) trial revealed information that has clued J6 investigators to additional damning evidence that the government authorities … at least in part … had contributed to the violence that did occur on J6, including some direct violence -&- inciting others to violence.
Steve Baker has indicated that he will publicly release the exculpatory clips + clips that reveal nefarious activities by security personnel if the congressional authorities fail to make arrangements for this info to be revealed in an official forum.
(?). How many of TNet’s ‘Never Trump’ voters will change their minds if they learn that the violence on J6 was orchestrated by the federal government &/or Capitol police?
Gotta go. Hope to check back this evening.

They could drag Trump and his entire family into the street and execute them and not one leftist would utter a syllable of protest. You really think some video footage will make them change their mind about anything? These clowns still think he's a Russian spy for God's sake.

Re: How did the federal gov't - ask & ye shall receive
Aug 17, 2023, 2:14 PM
|
|
The federal govt incited the violence by:
Shooting teargas into crowds of protesters who were yelling, but who had not trespassed or thrown things at Capitol security personnel.
Ray Epps looks like. Govt contractor or subcontractor; he incited not one, but two, separate events in which he exhorted the protesters to break into the Capitol Building. That the FBI used their overwork trope of ‘we don’t comment on matters which are under investigation’ has lost its credibility as an honest statement. They used this phrase when refusing to (publicly admit to) investigate the Hunter B. laptop, or to investigate Ray Epps. Only when non-governmental sources released too much information to ignore did the FBI ‘magically’ get their investigations finished and acknowledge the problems.
Two inoperable pipe bombs, locations of each being away from the Capitol Building, diverting the scarce Capitol police away from where the government inciters were doing their work.
Capitol policemen being caught lying outright about bodily injury suffered at the hands of J6 ‘violent’ protesters.
Oct. 2022 interview with then Capitol Hill City Police Chief Steven Sund, who found the mismanagement of pre-J6 intelligence between Congress, FBI, and Capitol police as so inexplicable as to (C&P):
“And that’s what I’m getting at,” Sund responded. “Could there possibly be actually… they kind of wanted something to happen? It’s not a far stretch to begin to think that. It’s sad when you start putting everything together and thinking about the way this played out… what was their end goal?”
(*). There is more than just random conspiracy talk going on here.
Soon, a big release of J6 security footage will probably come out. Steve Baker is the independent investigative journalist which had recently been subpoenaed for recording film of the J6 protests despite having permission (as a journalist) to be inside the Capitol Building on that day. The FBI and DoJ (& establishment politicians) are apparently worried about this likely release of not before seen security footage; the subpoena of Mr. Baker has the smell of trying to keep the truth from getting out.
Xxxxxx
Ask and ye shall receive.

I asked, but you mention Hunter Biden (You do get that Hunter Biden != January 6th, right?), and say the protestors had teargas shot at them. Why would anyone who has teargas shot at them continue to storm a building? Wouldn't you take that as a warning to NOT go in the building?
Again..how does one person (Ray Epps..so you say) incite THOUSANDS of people to start a riot? You blamed everyone there except the protestors, including the capitol police. Why did these folks bust through windows and doors, beat up on the cops, #### on people desks and the floor, and steal stuff?
How was anyone being made to do this?

The point here is that the government was a conspirator in fomenting violence.
The government also lied to create an impression to make J6 seem much worse than it really was.
(?). Why would the government choose to do this, given their (the government’s) recitation that Trump and his acolytes were the ONLY entities that fomented violence on J6?
The Hunter Biden reference is relevant in establishing the dishonest conduct of the FBI and DoJ in slow playing the investigation and prosecution of entities that they want to protect. Hunter was protected, and Ray Epps & the Cap City policeman who feigned injury in order to exaggerate the violence of J6.
All of this was to make sure that they ‘got Trump.’
Is it the American way of justice for the prosecution to create false circumstances in order to attack someone that may or may not be guilty? That’s what is happening here.

I'm really liking what I see out of Vivek. I'm really interested to see how he does in the upcoming debate. Here's another clip that makes me think he has the "chops" to handle the media jackals that will inevitably come for him...

Well, it looks like Trump will be leading in the polls in the primaries. So, I'll vote for whatever R is second in the polls at the time I get to vote. I'm ready for Trump to go. However, if the general comes down to Trump V Biden. I'll vote for Trump all day long.
Know matter what anyone says, with all those overseas payments to Hunter, that old lying fool Biden has got to be compromised. China and Russia don't pay Hunter all that cheese unless they're getting something out of it from "The Big Guy". Plus, add inflation, the border, Ukraine, Afghanistan. Mr. " No Comment" Biden is just a big screw up that is half brain dead already.

If this is your main concern, why don't you care when Trump and his kids do it?

Trump and his kids did nothing like Biden and his brother & kids did.
The federal government, despite their frantic efforts … which includes fabricating evidence and launching multiple dubious indictments … has not asserted anything along the lines of what you had asserted as Trump ‘crimes.’
Other than the Russia hoax. Which even the govt admitted Trump didn’t commit any ‘influenced by foreign govt’ crimes.
The lefties who keep citing Trump’s bribery and blackmail have nothing. They keep repeating this nonsense in hopes that a lie, if repeated often enough, is transformed into truth.

And even though I know he’s going to win South Carolina anyway, I think I’m going to go vote for him this time, just purely based on the fact that the government is trying to interfere in the election and remove him from the race.

“Destroyed”? Desperate much?

The indictment overview redacted Trump’s use of peaceful and patriotically protesting.
Most people read the first page of an indictment. Prosecution knows this; therefore they can redact important adjectives for (their targeted) effect in the first page of an indictment, but then remain technically truthful when providing more detail on some later page of the indictment.
This “destroyed” talk is the stuff of your dreams.
Like a Gamecock fan bragging that Beamer Boy ‘destroyed’ Clemson in last year’s FB game.
Given that your political argument victories are very rare, I can see how you would take a nail biter win as ‘destroying’ your political better in ChasTom.

No it didn't. You're better than Tom; don't sink to his level. Care about the truth.

Fair enough. I’ll say this.
Aug 17, 2023, 12:46 PM
|
|
If it comes down to Biden vs Trump, I know you’ll disagree, but I think it’s an absolute coin toss as to which would be worse for the country. I see very little solid high ground for someone to stand on saying one harms the general well being of the country less than the other.

I don't know that I do disagree, but I know only one of those wants to turn America into his own personal dictatorship.
The other one doesn't know which way his pants go on.
The former frightens me a bit more.

So those not voting for Trump, do you like what is happening to our country under biden? Have you seen the problems with open borders. Do you think we can deter China, or win a war against them under biden? Do you like what's happening to our education system? How about that nasty inflation? Remember what prices were before this disaster ? Do you feel safer now?

I've heard good comments from all of them. I heard and interview with the ND governor and was impressed. He's a very long shot, but I liked what he said. I was hoping DeSantis would take off but that hasn't happened yet. Bottom line for me, I don't think we can stand biden/Harris for 4 more years and Newsome would be just as bad, maybe worse than biden. Can you imagine if biden could not finish a se ond term and harris is president? Troubling to day the least. She couldnt fix the border and she can't handle any pressure-even interviews. I could vote for Kennedy Jr. and think he could do a good job. We are a dead republic if a liberal demo, like biden or newsome, or saunders win. We've got to change course and stand up to all our enemies. They see us as weak right now and they are right.

It may well end up Trump vs Biden unless Trump is prevented from campaigning because of being tied up with court appearances and because he will not be allowed to communicate in response to what the prosecution can leak to the media.

If it's Trump vs Biden I'll vote 3rd party or not at all

I'd vote Manchin third party. He caved on the Green New Deal spending splurge, but at least it got him out of the Dem party.
I like Larry Elder too. He's sharp like Ramaswamy. Those guys like facts.
I like Trump's policies, but he is an ####### and a jerk and can't keep his big fat mouth shut.

served switching registration to D (if it's even necessary in SC) and voting for RFKjr.
Pretty sure Trumpster has SC locked down. If not, he'll get the nomination if it's left to a primary vote.
Flame me, don't flame me. Doesn't make much difference.
