Started his slide before the end zone but got a TD. I think I saw another QB do that recently. Why is it not called at the goaline? Usually it goes back to where the QB starts his slide.

Saw it live and thought the same thing. By the strictest sense of the rules it should’ve been called down before the goal line.

in Cade's case it usually is spotted two yards behind when he started the slide

it’s like the official is inside his brain and marks it as he makes the decision
