and Cal. They are has beens. Oregon St. committed money to football and Washington st. has had some interesting teams and has fans. Neither Stanford or Cal seem committed to big time college football. Let them play in the ivy league.

Whole lot easier to get in and out of SFO (for both Stanford and Cal) than to get to/from Corvallis and Pullman.

Of course, Cal and Stanford would be looking at trying to get to Clemson, Blacksburg, Charlottesville, etc. as travel nightmares.

There are a lot of other sports, and student athletes for those teams, other than football.

Odd take, those are two of the best universities in the US.

this position to start with. I don't care how good Cal and Stanford are academically. Let them play in the IVY league. ACC needs to act like a football conference or Clemson needs to get the hell out.
