Oh, and give me some of the Mesh!

Pretty frustrating to see how affective it was for Wake. Gimmicky like GT used to be. But I like it.

Our wide receivers kicked ####.

Wake moved the mesh back from the line far enough to corral out three man rush. Had enough time to see rumimg lanes or make a long pass completion.

Exactly. They made an adjustment and moved it back. Simple but effective against an inexperienced secondary and Wake having the most experienced line in college football. Great point Tiggerpop

It was successful because we were weak in

pass coverage. Letting them loft jump balls against inexperienced corners (with some questionable PI calls) leading to frustration from the young guys. It took WAY too long to switch to a Tampa look with safety support. Once that happened, the mesh was less effective.

Not Full Time; But incorporate it.

It's very effective especially depending on your coverage as some have mentioned. If you could add the slow mesh from time to time to keep the defense off balance it would be very effective i.m.o.

DJU is 6'4 and can see over the OL. Imagine he and Shipley riding that into the line and the defense not being able to commit to stopping the run! They come -DJU pulls it to a 1 0n 1 receiver. They stay - Shipley gets to pick an open rush lane.

Not as our primary offense mind you; but as a wrinkle. I think it could be great for us.
