rank LSU ahead of Tenn? Also, LSU lost to an ACC team. Tenn lost to 2 sec teams. I can’t explain that reasoning using sec bias. It’s just bizarre.

I would guess the logic would look something like this...
They lost on the road by 1 to the cfp 14th ranked team.
We lost on the road by 21 to the cfp 16th ranked team.

USC has 2 wins against a CFP Top 25 teams (Oregon State, UCLA) and one loss Utah (#14)
Clemson has 2 wins against CFP Top 25 teams (Florida State, Louisville) and one loss ND (#15)
Balance of schedule:
USC has wins against 3 P5 teams with a winning record
Clemson has wins against 4 P5 teams with a winning record
Why them at 6? Why LSU at 5 is even more baffling...
Every SEC team that played a P5 game in week 12 should be dinged for it...

I like it….however…..this assumes winning or losing matters, it doesn’t. This also assumes that who you lose to or win against matters, it doesn’t.
What matters is, who has the lion’s share of the money invested in them? Once you’ve determined where the money is, then those are the best teams. If any pesky facts like games or scores rear their ugly heads, you ignore them and pretend like they didn’t happen. Pretending like something didn’t happen changes history and makes it come true.
