O-line / DJ / SC State

Sep 6, 2021, 10:38 AM

Not that Coaches take advice from these boards…

Seeing it is SC State:
Starting Left guard and Left tackle benched for first four drives or first half. Give the 2nd and 3rd stringers live game and opportunities.

DJ, short short leash. He HAS to command offense and “settle in” to the game before end of 1st quarter. I know he is physically the best QB on roster but mentally, game in Charlotte left door open. Maybe the O-line deficiencies contributed to DJ’s lack of looking off defensive and lack of an internal clock to get out of the pocket… but can’t pin all of the lose on the t-rex O-line blocking.

I'd definitely throw Tristan in AND let him play the entire game.

Not sure I agree. DJ, Oline, running backs, tight ends, receivers, coaches, everyone needs to make sure the first stringers get their acts together. Many of these guys are playing their, first, second or third career games. Some are playing different positions than last year. They need to build some continuity and cohesiveness. What better game to do this than against South Carolina State?
