Nuk isn't coming back. (I talked to one of his friends)

Jan 3, 2013, 4:04 PM

One of my buddies who played with Nuk at Central and just walked on to the football team this fall just confirmed that Nuk wasn't coming back. I wish him all the luck. Nuk was the most humble guy I've ever seen. The dude use to eat by himself in Schilletter last semester. Best Tiger to ever play WR, HANDS DOWN.

They've been saying all along(all season) that Nuk would leave, now it looks at the very least , there's some wavering.

I talked to Ryan Norton over the holiday....

Jan 3, 2013, 4:29 PM

and according to Ryan, Nuk has specifically said that he really wants to come back and play again next year because he knows next season has the potential to be a very special year for Clemson football. That said, he also acknowledged that the allure of being a first round draft choice in the NFL may simply be too much for him to decline.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I don't think he's a first rounder this year.

Jan 3, 2013, 4:32 PM

Don't get me wrong, I would pick him in the first round. But I'm a Clemson fan. I know how clutch he is. I know because I watch him in every game.

I think with one more year of S&C and one more year of excellence, he will be a first rounder.

He's a first rounder...

Or high second. It will be hard for him to turn down $ and opportunity. I'd be worried for him if he stayed (fear of injury). He'll be all world if he does but I think no way...

Never liked him anyway............................

Jan 3, 2013, 4:32 PM

Just kidding. He is one the greatest receivers, if not the greatest receiver, in Clemson history. Fortunately we are in good shape at that position, but he will certainly be missed no matter who is on the roster.

He deserves to be a firt round pick and I hope he makes piles of money. I can't tell you how much I think of this player. He was great as a freshman, then when Sammy mania took hold in is soph year, Hopkins just kept on producing at a high, high level. Then this year, with Sammy having a tough, but still very productive year, Hopkins was blasing off the charts.

I wish him all the best and first round money whether he leaves this year or next year. It was a pleasure to watch him play the game and he represented Clemson to perfection on and off the field.

I will miss saying Nuk at the games

Best receiver we've ever had. Will never forget 4th and 16

draft order...nfl team needs

Jan 3, 2013, 5:32 PM

one of the biggest issues with deciding is the actual team needs....for these NFL teams...and their draft order...

not every NFL team needs NUK....but some do....and these NFL guys now....rate different player positions highly based on their GM.....their style of play....and their head coach.....

yes NUK will be a very successful pro....

the signing bonuses are structured very differently now than when CJ Spiller came out as well....so his advisors have to take into account all of these issues....

As much as I want him back, if he's a 1st rounder...please

take the money and run young man. Set your family up for life and enjoy what you've earned.
