you're just not entitled to foist it off on me.
My whole thing with this FF group is I resent the living heck out of someone with no relationship to the school trying to tell us what to do. If people there had a complaint I might entertain listening but some outside party using us to elevate their profile can go U know what

a program at the Pickens County library because they thought it was some sort of "witchcraft" teaching and threatened to boycott and cause problems if they didn't remove it? Nooone inside the library complaining. No kids complaining about it. Just an outside party looking to elevate their profile....because I'm pretty sure Rock Springs isn't affiliated with the library......but the library backed down instead of telling them to U KNOW WHAT. I was disappointed.

I can't imagine why I laugh at it all and the energy you folks put into it and all the "seriousness" about it. It is just a belief. Like the Tooth Fairy.

seriousness, where is this bitter anger coming from?
I think we get it. You don't like Christinas, you are athiest and think anybody who believes in God is an idiot. You hate guns and anybody who likes guns. You don't like anybody associated with Fox News and get angry if anybody disrespects a leftist.
You might not want to hear this, but your anger shows that you may have a spiritual issue.

You're telling me a group of people threatened to boycott the library? And someone cared? I don't even know why we fund public libraries all over the place anymore. Other than visiting the Clemson University library as a student, I haven't stepped foot in a library in at least 10 years.

You have to admit, the idea of boycotting the library is pretty funny.

There was some summer program they were going to do.

One of the facets of it involved something the holy rollers couldn't handle, kinda like how Harry Potter still scares them. They made a stink. The library sadly gave in.

Well, the fringe will always be the fringe on both sides of the aisle and pretty much in any kind of group with over 20 members. I don't like when people get up in arms over silly stuff like Harry Potter. I would swear I even remember reading where people were upset at Tolkien's world because it had gods that weren't real (or I guess should say were invented only for the world the Novel takes place in). I'm a Christian, but I don't like seeing people get bent out of shape over silly, small time stuff.

a small piece of the conundrum that makes up Christianity - to understand that there is something larger than us. Something we don't understand and possibly never will. Something in the sky is watching us? Really? SMH! You are part of the problem.
Maybe Christians simply "watch" themselves because they understand that there is more out there - that we are simply a small part of the universe.
No one - not you nor I knows what happens when you die. The afterlife is not about what happens after death. It's about what happens before death. SMH again. How did this happen?

I guess I could've went your route or God is all around us or whatever rubbish you want to focus on. I understand that rationalization is what makes you folks think your belief REALLY gains traction if you look at that way. Thanks.

LOL - God is all around us ...

You went the skyman simpleton route ... makes sense.
The world is all around us. God is the world. There is no traction to be gained by understanding that the universe is larger than me. Your problem is that you seem to think God is a person. Most Christians have a very different understanding of it. God and Jesus are different. Jesus was a person who spread a message of God. Scientific and historical evidence proves this to be true. Jesus was a person. God is a belief. And I'll admit some folks interpret God differently than me ... evident by the many different religions and Gods throughout the world ... the message is the same. We are a part of something larger that should be cherished. Just because you choose not to subscribe doesn't mean you should bash those who do.
