If you can agree that what we saw on Monday was NOT Garrett Riley’s offense, then perhaps what we’ve seen the last 2 years was not Streeter’s offense. On Monday it looked like Dabo was way more involved in the offense than Garrett. Knowing that Dabo really likes to hire his friends and former players, I’m willing to bet firing Streeter was not Dabo’s decision. I’m even willing to bet Dabo didn’t want to bring in Riley.
Someone please tell me I’m crazy.

Nobody in the AD has the power to tell Dabo what to do. If Neff goes to Dabo and says "Fire Streeter or else," Dabo could just walk away chuckling and say "or else what?"

Dabo’s has nine seasons (counting this one) remaining on his contract. No where in that contract does the AD have the right to fire any of Dabo’s assistance without cause. They could possibility obstruct his hiring but that would take the board being complicit. The idea that he isn’t in charge of his own decision making is absurd on its face.

One thing for sure. Dabo was doing a lot of taking when we had the ball. Looked like Garrett was just calling in the plays. Could be wrong.

What are you saying? I saw dabo standing there listening to what riley was calling, and he walked off nodding in approval. Dabo was not making the call.

There are some teeth to this rumor. From what I was told a big time booster threatened to quit giving if streeter wasn’t replaced after gamecock game. And by big time I mean gives around a million a year.

Dabo has always been clear he doesnt appreciate fan or booster interference in his program. Stems from when he was fired on DuBose staff at Alabama. He has said this many times and it has led to a few snarky comments about fans when they have been vocal about errors at games. Any rumor that believes he would be pressured by anyone outside the program is bull.
