Wasn’t he scheduled to start next year? Why not just dance the last dance with the one that bring you?
Why bolt at this stage of his career? Haven’t the NFL folks seen enough of him the past 5 years?

I don’t like this kind of Hartman / D.Leary / Pitt QB (Slovis?) thing, but after watching Brennan Armstrong get destroyed this year behind UVA’s depleted OLine, I can understand why QB’s aren’t necessarily loyal to a team which will be much worse the next year.
It is easy to understand why a QB that is facing big-time reduction in PT transfers out.
No, I don’t like it, but can understand why it happens.
