that you stash guns, valuables, cookies, drugs(?), etc. that nobody else knows about? A hole in the wall, under a loose floorboard, or just a mason jar buried in the back yard?
I discovered an awesome empty space in my house/workshop/barn removing a loose wall panel (keeping it generic) that could be used to stash stuff no one would ever find. So I keep my prized coin collection, a few handguns, some jewels and gold rings, etc. in a some fireproof boxes. Nobody knows about this except me.
Good thing is.....a robber could never ever find any of this. I doubt a team of detectives would ever find it with a search warrant to tear my house apart. Bad thing is....no one else will either if/when I kick off the planet. I suppose I could note this in my will if that ever happened so my family would be able to claim the stuff.
Just wondering if anybody else has some little hidden secret like this.

just in case some transient methhead decided to come in and loot the place.
Years ago there was a meth house down the road where a half-dozen or so of them existed. From time to time they would wander over and ask me if I had any work for them do do, mow the grass, fix a fence, whatever. I figured they might be casing my house which is one of a meth head's best talents. So that's when I looked for and found a place to hide my most valuable things.
Fortunately they burned out their house cooking some product and all got arrested and moved to either other parts of Oconee County or the local pokey.

Which is really a pretty discreet access panel through the coat closet to the space under the stairs. I have my guns in there and a few other safes, along with some light prepping supplies. We also use it for a storm shelter.
With a kid in the house the guns outside of it stay secured.

I have a couple of biometric safes strategically placed in the house. Only my wife and I can access them and they're out of sight.

1300lb safe, bolted to a concrete slab.

600lb safe, bolted to a wall and floor studs.
A 250lb safe, bolted to studs.
Seems to be working. No one has stolen any of it, and my kids don't have a combination.
Then we have security cameras, and the safes are also integrated into the alarm system. Open a safe door, or move it an inch, alarm goes off and cops called.
Seems to be working.
