Nice pictures! One of my sons did an internship up that way a few summers ago and he went on one of the boat tours and really enjoyed it.

Wow! Great pix. Thanks. The only time I was there was in 1961 as a kid with mom and dad and my two sisters. Seem to recall putting on raincoats they provided so we wouldn't get soaked.

It’s a very special place. I’ve been in the dead of winter, and it was so cold it hurt to breath.

up there. When I got their "Southern" breakfast, I made that mistake and nearly choked. Silly Canadians can't cook grits.
Otherwise, great photos. The Canadian falls (Horseshoe) are vastly superior to the American falls. I remember the one night I spent there, I just, basically, watched the Horseshoe Falls for a couple of hours.

You can jump in as an American and come out as a Canadian...and all wet!

I thought it was just awe inspiring. After seeing your beautiful pics, I'd love to go back and take the helicopter ride with that spectacular view! First, I'll have to convince Mr. Sabletiger to go up in the helicopter because he's not a fan.

The helicopter does provide a different perspective

And the pilot flew us closer to the falls at times and then further up at times - all of which provided different views. "Spectacular" is definitely the word I would use as well.
If it helps to convince Mr. Sabletiger: the helicopter ride was much smoother than I would have expected - and, obviously, they had us well strapped-in. The ride itself was almost a combination of peaceful and exciting at the same time (if that makes sense).
Thanks, sabletiger®

Thanks, GaTiger5®.
We definitely had a great trip! Not sure when Clemson football will play in Syracuse again - depending on what happens (and when) with conference realignment.

Back in late 1960s (1968?) the river was diverted and the Falls/rocks were bone dry. Google and you'll see some weird photos. They also found some odd stuff down at base of falls. Human bones etc.
Great pics..
