The CFP championship game is held at NFL stadiums on Monday nights, in the gap between the NFL regular season and playoffs, so I'm not sure what you're saying.

Does anyone but me think that the NFL's efforts to create parity is a big part of their popularity ?
And is there anyway that college football could increase its parity ?

a hindrance as it pertains to increasing interest amongst the casuals and growing the viewing audience. The salary cap's true purpose and design was not to increase parity but to sell franchises and control wages. Player free agency was collectively bargained-

Exactly. How so? What is it in college football that you think is dictated by the NFL somehow pushing the NCAA or schools to do something they don't want.
And before anyone says it, the age limit is not an NCAA rule. The NFL and the NFLPA have collectively bargained contractually to make it a violation to hire anyone not meeting the age limits as set forth in the bargaining agreement. Same for the NBA and the effective NCAA "one-and-done". Neither of those things is in the NCAA's control.

The NFL is the most watched sport besides soccer. It is America's gift to the world.
Also every young football player dreams of playing in the NFL. That's why the deference.

What deference? What does BCS football do just to please the NFL (other than to exist)?
When we use the word "deference" it tends to imply that college football would be some at least some thing differently that it is now, except that the powers-that-be in college football are bending the knee to their NFL "betters". That the NFL made some request to the NCAA, which the NCAA submitted to.
Something like "Hey, we want to have this bowl game on a Sunday." Probably a bad idea, because it conflicts with the NFL games for ratings, but they want to do it. But then someone at the NFL calls someone at he NCAA or at the bowl game, and says "Hey, we'd rather that you not schedule a bowl game on a Sunday. Ever." And then the bowl game changes the scheduled date.
That would be deference.
So far, all I've seen are examples of respect. Not deference.

I feel college is more about heart and passion. NFL is more about business. That's just what I feel though. Both are great to watch imo.

years ago I went to an exhibition game just prior to the Panthers becoming a certainty. I was pretty excited as I'd never been to a pro game before. The experience was a letdown...no real excitement by the crowd, which I recall being pretty full. Just business.

Defensive execution is stunning.
important note: Clemson players don't experience a drop-off in performance. They are use to CFP game talent.
