New Tunnel in WEZ changes?

Anyone heard news that the plans to narrow the current home and visitor pie sections for additional seating has changed? I heard that they can not narrow them as originally planned due to lack of clearance for an ambulance in case of an emergency.

Haven’t heard anything, but can’t they just take them to the ambulance on a cart?

Even if they have to leave the height for an ambulance, it seems they could still narrow the sides of the pie area. Make it more squared off vs. pie shaped.

There are a lot of stadiums that are bowl shaped without access to a tunnel for an ambulance, so I don’t see that being an issue.

Yes that makes no sense. Never seem an ambulance go on the field at Death Valley or any large college stadium. They usually always take them out through the tunnels on a small cart.

I agree. The reasoning I heard didn’t make too much sense to me. Just wondering if anyone else had heard anything. Seems like they can still close them in to add more seats and still leave adequate access or like you said utilize a cart to get to an emergency vehicle in the tunnel.

I remember the days before the new west end zone when there was no connection between the bleachers in the west end to the north and south stands. They used to bring in rather tall homecoming floats through the space between the west end zone and north side seats as it was completely open with nothing limiting height.

It'll be a new tunnel in the middle. The original tunnel stays for operations and such
