Not much changed yesterday in our NET profile. Clemson remained at #29. The win over Syracuse falls into Q2, which is nice. Details attached.

Winthrop dropped back into Quad 4.

We are now 8-6 in Q1/Q2 and 8-1 in Q3/Q4. The letdown against GTech remains our biggest blemish of the year.

8 games left, with two very winnable home games this week:

Q1: @Wake
Q2: vs Miami, @GTech, vs Pitt
Q3: vs NCSt, vs FSU, @ND, vs Cuse

I'm not a fan of the NET. RPI has always made more sense to me.

The NCAAT selection committee no longer uses RPI. NET is a very major factor in selection and seeding.

After the automatic bids where does 29 put us in the grand scheme?

Not sure what you mean by "after". We will be seeded above almost every automatic qualifier...they won't affect our inclusion or seed.

Right now we are a consensus 6-seed.

I was meaning say there are 64 or 68 teams after your automatic qualifiers get in, that reduces that number, not certain on how many schools were left as at large and we are at 29. Do they consider that 29 after all conference champs make it in.

There are 32 automatic qualifiers. Everything else is at-large. That leaves 36 open spots.

Some of the top-36 are also automatic qualifiers, so it’s not a simple run through of a list from 1-36. Also, remember NET is only one of several selection criteria that is considered.

Bottom line - we are firmly in the tournament as a mid-seed as long as we don’t stumble home these last 8 games.

I know. NET is the only thing that even matters anymore. I still don't like it.

There is also something very wrong with those RPI rankings. At a quick glance, it says SCar is 20-0 and Clemson is 5-3 in the ACC. Both are inaccurate.
