It Appears ESPN’s College GameDay Will Be At Notre Dame-Clemson Next Week

Dustin Tackett

As ESPN gears up for this weekend’s College GameDay live from Tucson, Arizona, for the Pac-12 showdown between No. 16 Arizona and No. 9 UCLA, people have already began discussing where the crew will end up next week.

With a decent slate of games including top-25 matchups like No. 16 Arizona at No. 21 Stanford, No. 12 Alabama at No. 7 Georgia and No. 6 Notre Dame at No. 11 Clemson, it’s already a busy discussion. And then add the fact that Indiana has started a movement trying to bring GameDay to Bloomington for the Hooziers meeting with No. 1 Ohio State, and things become even more crowded.

But according to Jeff Rabjohns of Rivals, ESPN GameDay producer Lee Fitting dropped a hint about the show’s intended destination. It appears they have their eyes on Clemson’s Death Valley.

ESPN GameDay producer Lee Fitting said if Notre Dame, Georgia are upset, GameDay will “pack up and be at Bloomington.”

It a long shot for Indiana, but apparently there’s a chance.

I find it weird that so many people on Tigernet

claim to hate ESPN and think it's the most evil, anti-Clemson entity there is...But then these same people get absolutely amped up about ESPN Gameday and think it's the most important thing out there.

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is if we beat Notre Dame on 10/3. The actual game is what the recruits, the pollsters, and the playoff committee will be watching. Game Day is just a distraction that puts a ton of people on Bowman Field 10 hours before kickoff. I have no idea what happened last week on Gameday in Oxford or the week before for MSU-Oregon. I do know that Ole Miss and MSU are seen as serious contenders now though that they won their huge matchups.

yes, the bottomline is to win the game, but gameday........

is a big deal.

It creates even more buzz than there already would be.........it gets fans out earlier than they would be........it's a 3 hour commercial for recruits. Some people will watch and some people won't, but it serves as "icing on the cake" for an already incredible atmosphere.

The college kids love it too.

it's not for everybody, but i'd rather have at Clemson than not. You say it serves as a distraction? for the fans?players?.......we're 2-1 when gameday comes so hopefully it distracts us like it did the first 2 times.

espin is the "conduit"(the only one) for us to showcase

the greatest program/ experience in the nation. They rightfully should promote their for-profit partnership with the sec but they failed to realize they have forsaken the rest of the football market

If ABC misses the chance to get some NBC money...

Sep 24, 2015, 4:27 PM

stockholders should sell.
