I'd put it a bit differently

With 4 turnovers taking away scoring chances for the Tigers, it gifted the wolfpack with a chance to win the game on a late FG. A gift they rejected by missing the FG.

If NC St had won, it would have been our gift to them. We didn't execute on the 1 yd line, or the pick-six, or the fumbles. They didn't execute on the FG's. In the end, we did enough to win and they didn't.

And we won. Those turnovers were awful, but Edmond killed the opponent for us. Again. Go Tigers!

Talent won the game for us.

Yes, NCST had it, and gave us a gift by not making an easy FG; but we tried to give it to them on multiple occasions. For me, the story of the game is that Clemson is in a position shared by only a few elite teams: We have enough talent to overcome a ton of mistakes and still beat good teams. Once again we demonstrated that today.

Turnovers are part of the game, though. They did help NC State stay in the game, but they created the turnovers.

Botched FGs are a part of the game too ...

Pretty much everything that happened on the field was "part of the game" ...
NC State came into the game determined to win and as the old adage states, the "hit us in the mouth" early (literally) and it took some of the fight out of us.
We were extremely careless with the ball and left ourselves vulnerable to fumbles that gave The Pack numerous opportunities, but in the end, we had too much overall talent and when their kicker couldn't produce under pressure, we took advantage and got the win.
Both teams made a lot of mistakes and both had several big breaks ... all of which are "part of the game".

You're right, missed FGs are part of the game also. NC State's defense played a great game, just not their special teams. Our defense played great except the d-line for the last few minutes. The pack had numerous opportunities that they created by causing turnovers. Either team would've been gifted the win the other because of the "mistakes". All I am saying is that you can't be mad that someone wrote NC State gifted it to us when we almost gave them the game.

So a gifted win is worse than a Baka loss last year to Ole Miss with 5 turnovers.
I will take the gifted win any day. Call it retribution for Auburns gift.

I can't believe some on here think they have it out for Clemson.
They market us like crazy. I just don't see it.
Was it a gift? Hell yes it was! An f'ing D1 kicker should make that FG.
But I'll take charity and gifts all the way to Tampa! I don't give two ##### and neither should most of us. We won!

Bull #### we gift wrapped that game for them so many times... Our D is responsible for the win ...NC state didn't give us anything they tried there best to destroy our team with the head hunting and just putting us through a dog fight..... But the best team won

We lose this game and win out we still make playoffs. ESPN ought to go back to analyzing and give up campaigning. They're distracted and look stupid.
