I'll be pulling for NCST, we have to get some respect for this conference. A week one sweep of the mighty SEC would be a good start.

Not just hyping up an ACC team vs SEC but I think NC state will win this game...they had some bright spots last yr. And Tennessee has gone through some rough patches.

I actually think NCSU is under-rated by most. Maybe I'm wrong (be wrong plenty of times), but they finished strong down the stretch (without Russell Wilson I might add). CTOB seems to make his teams better as the years go by. Expect NCSU to punish a few teams this year. Hopefuly WE are not one of them.

I am a second year senior at State and I just dont understand the hype behind the football team. We have a strong Oline, one quarterback, a running back that seems to love spending time behind bars, Amerson, no linebackers and a coach with zero emotion.
I will be at both games in Atlanta and hope to see the Pack pull out a win, but it will be a blowout one way or another, I do not see this game being close at all.

I understand where you are coming from but I always see NC State as being that sleeper that always gets overlooked. They are definitely a Jekyll and Hyde team. Just look at their loss to BC and win against Clemson from last year... I'm currently a grad student at State but I got my undergrad degree from Clemson so I'll be at both games in Atlanta this year as well and I'm hoping for 2 ACC wins that weekend and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

Don't give a crap about anybody else in the ACC or the SEC---my estimation of the Tigers doesn't rise or fall by the play of other teams---although I've been known to become a hardcore Wolfpack fan when they play unc.

UT is 6-6 this year. Tennessee might not be relevant for a long time. They can't even keep a lot of their in state players anymore.
NCSU is a sleeper in the Atlantic. They'll beat either FSU, us, or both despite having the least talent of the three because Clemson and FSU always have a few chokes up their sleeve, and WF and BC aren't going to be the ones doing it this year.

Maybe it's because State beat us last year, but I tend to think of them as being a pretty good team. Tenn ain't back!

for highly coveted 4 and 5* guys have you seen them in lately as compared to when Fulmer was there? I think most would agree that there has been a tremendous drop off in their recruiting since Fulmer was there. How many big recruits that we used to go after had Clem., UGA, Fla., ect. and Tenn. in their top 5 while he was the coach? How many times have you seen that in the past few years? Good coaching is one thing but you can't coach someone to have that, "God given ability". Hope NCSU dogs them just so we don't have to hear the coots hang their hats on "SEC SEC" anymore.....as if it would stop them anyways.

My days of pulling against teams in the ACC are over, this conference needs some quality OOC wins.
But, I'm not optimistic about NCSU. Sure, they are a veteran team...that is full of 2 star and NR players. And this year's recruiting class is no different.

Tennessee opened as a 7 point favorite, and they are only one of two teams (Southern Cal being the other) who can say they've got receivers as good as ours.
Their passing game is for real. Sure, they've got some issues to work on, but NC State doesn't have a proven D-line and has almost no experience at WR.
I don't expect a UT blowout, but I'd be surprised to see NC State win.

Amerson is all over the field.
He'll shut an entire side down by himself.
I would expect a lot from Tenn's passing game...at least early.
