The National Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Resource Center is a Justice Department initiative that provides training and technical assistance to law enforcement officials, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, clinicians, victim service and social service providers, community organizations, and behavioral health professionals1. The Center is designed to help implement laws that keep guns out of the hands of people who pose a threat to themselves or others1. The Center provides ERPO implementation training and technical assistance to Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program grantees and other implementers2.

To keep their guns regardless of threats to family, themselves or others in the community!
Otherwise we lose opportunities to offer Ts and Ps when there are mass shootings, domestic homicides and suicides.
It’s interesting how mental health is often linked to gun violence but means to intervene are scorned. The effectiveness of red flag laws is debatable and certainly they are not a cure all, but what other alternatives are available to deal with mental illness and gun violence?

You really should actually read the 2nd Amendment sometime. Like, the whole thing, especially the first four words. It tells you exactly where the line really is that even the most strident gun-grabbing lib in California is going to struggle to overcome.
A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Dems can and undoubtedly will push right up to that line because the 2A zealots are being idiots, and in utterly refusing to give even a little means they're ultimately going to lose lots.
