I doubt teh town of Mt P will let them bulldoze if they expect to built a Mcmansion there. There is an old gas station on the corner of that street that's been bought and sold about 3 times because the town won't approve anything to be done to the property because its "historic"..which means built before 1960.
It could probably be expanded upon, in the back, but the rest of it would be a complete gut job. And destruction with fire of whatever is left in that bathroom.

That house was not bad looking, at least from teh outside, 3-5 years ago.

I like to point out that my grandmother's house in Mt. Pleasant (with end of street access to a boat ramp on shem creek) sold for 290,000 in 2008 and is currently estimated to be worth 974,000.

One on Simmons St (that I stayed in as an air BNB once when we moved to Clemson) sold for $900K in 2018, and then the new owner broke up the lot and sold the back of lot for $500K. The house (with half the lot) resold for $685K, then again for $1.9 Million.
After staying in that house I asked the owner if they wanted to sell it. They called me about a year later when it was $700K (It sold later for $900K). Had I known then what the market was going to do in < 1 year..I could have done all that, made almost a million $ on it, moved down the street and had a paid for house.

This location is amazing.
Check out the house two doors up the street. They added a huge second living space at end of driveway that could be another rental or expanded living space.
